And I have a better 3D HRTF engine now. I might have 3D Panner beta soon.
Dennis just wondering if you were any closer to updating or modernising your SpinAudio 3D plugins (delay & chorus) or perhaps your RoomVerb M2?

yes, getting close. I've almost finished up with the new plug-in UI/SDK. I just need to complete Reverside. I already have a new HRTF engine. if everything is ok 3DDelays beta this summer.

Oh that's brilliant to hear, I'm looking forward to anything that comes close to your SpinAudio plugs! :hail:

Hello there,

I am so, so happy to have unearthed this forum ... !

I was a long-time ESI Juli@ (PCI) soundcard user, then switched over to its PCI-E form and dabbled too with EMU's now long-defunct 0404 PCI-E soundcard - all for listening to music on the PC with natural-sounding reverb effects, via the Spinaudio FX LE VST host.

In the beginning, I recall the music playback via Spinaudio worked quite well with little or no audible distortion. Over time, as software support withdrew (post Windows 7), the crackle and pop from the host during playback became quite noticeable - and repeatedly so. I tried (minor) tweaks like ensuring the application's (Spinaudio) thread has "affinity" within the task manager, but I don't recall it being a success ... whilst I am no audio engineer / software developer, I don't believe it is the hardware (a first-gen Threadripper 1920x) not having computing power; just that modern day Windows OS isn't optimised for Spinaudio.

If a modernised version of the Spinaudio could still host VST plug-ins and play audio through it with no distortion whilst with the PC under load, I will pay Denis good money for it .... !!

Looking forward to more updates.

I recently tried to run Virtual Mixing Console on Windows 10 without success.
There are so many plug-in hosts nowadays, is there really a need to revive VMC?
