How does it compare to Diva?

Pretty close, in song you wouldnt hear the difference with some post eq. Flters are different, i prefer Diva's.

I found Phase Plant can produce closest if not identical result when it comes to supersaws.

"First impressions, it uses a TON of CPU. The filter Is wrong, they didnt emulate any of the JPs onboard chorus effect (they just did a generic one), they dont have the "wide" mode on the osc 2 semitone, you cannot do any cool sync sounds without it, and its only a single layer, so you wont do any "performance" patches with it"

CPU does not seem bad here on my M2 Max. I'm not sure I would listen to anyone who has a competitor product that they're trying to sell.

I still need to time to compare it to Diva, but if I can stick to using just Diva that would be great as I like to keep my plugin choices to a minimum.

CPU does not seem bad here on my M2 Max. I'm not sure I would listen to anyone who has a competitor product that they're trying to sell.

Sure I suppose we don't know which CPU Adam has, but also when you take things into perspective that they did NOT match the hardware and there's missing functionality... It does sting a bit.

It also likely means Adam's emulation will be lower CPU AND more accurate, which really is a win-win frankly. Unless you're a Mac user, heh.

You've already a/b the filters in this one compared to diva? Very nice. What are your results?

Sounds better than Diva for the whole JP sound, but Diva isn't trying to be a JP so I wouldn't say Diva is worse, while Arturia sounds close but still not there but it looks fun to play with the effects package like the Arp and Gate, I won't be buying though I'm waiting release of Chro8080 and the one Szabo is cooking

However, there is also a JUN6 chorus and Super Unison onboard. Also a pitch shifter in a delay unit, which can do cool chorus/flanger effects. Also, sync and xmod osc mods are onboard as well..It is not using a ton of CPU over here, not sure how old his CPU is, but i am using an 5900x...

Why would anyone want a JP-8000 in software when so many modern plugins run rings around it? The feedback oscillator seems pretty cool though. Could I do it with something else? Hm...

Don't look at ASIO meter, look at Task Manager.

Also, if anyone knows the actual hardware device, it would be Adam, and he wouldn't be bullshitting. So zip it!

Perhaps Adam is using Pentium from 99.

After Multipoly, this is another great release in 2025.

And wash you ears... I can differentiate between 1000 and 1001Hz (maybe even less, didn't test), so I can judge sound for myself. I know people like Adam try hard, but Viper? It sounds like mud. If I wanted clean VA sound I'd use Virus TI2 or Spire.

CPU is great here - max 5 to 10% while playing complex chords with pads or keys. Sound is almost identical to hw, not 100% there, but extremely close - in full mix no one would notice the difference.

They didn't nail it when it's not the same as the o.g.
