I'm on V Collection 9 and appreciate the free updates to Augmented Strings and Augmented Voices, however I wish they would add dark modes to those, I work on stuff late at night and everything on my PC has a darkmode, those bright interfaces are a shock to the pupils. I find myself avoiding them as a result.

Does anyone used to the SEM V2 sound knows if the V3 brings anything new sound wise or it's mainly just cosmetic & UI experience revamp?

New name for what the collection was; I guess they chose to name the tier to differentiate from Intro tier, basically.
I'm not upgrading until it's The V Collection Pro Turbo Max+
Pfffft. Lame. I'm waiting for The V Collection X-TREEM Experience. It comes on a thumb drive that's coated in ghost pepper juice.

I have V Collection 9 (didn't get X because I had MiniFreak hardware synth at the time), Pigments and the latest FX Collection, and my upgrade is €299. I probably would have been willing to jump straight in for 199 as I'm jumping 2 versions, but at that price I'll wait and see what they do for Black Friday.

Even though this Arturia emulation isn't really a real success, it's still updated, and the price is good for the update.

I'm eagerly awaiting the version from the excellent Adam Szabo, though; it will be a masterpiece, just like Viper 🙂

However, a real installer would be really appreciated.

Despite Adam's advice and kindness, I've never been able to install Viper on my new PC (it's never been recognized, even with the recommended Windows pack), so it's really annoying.

I've tried everything and it's all gone.

Even though I'm not an expert in this field, the kernel (code) used to emulate Arturia synths is a bit dated and, as a result, shows its limitations at some point.

I'm not going to say I'm disappointed with Arturia's version, but they could have done much better.

What makes this emulation stand out is, as always with Arturia, the extended mode, and this time it becomes much more interesting.

Also, Arturia is very stingy with the presets (240), which isn't great considering the (extended) possibilities of the VST.

And the top dog - GForce OB-E

(oops - Uncle E got there first).
Oops! I was thinking GForce but wrote Softube.

Did anyone else have any issues with the factory content/presets not installing with V. 11?

Just wanted to quote this witty response to show my appreciation for it.

^^^This.
Kudos to Arturia for giving Augmented Series owners this 2.0 update, including new samples, for free. Makes me even more willing to get the V Collection 11 upgrade out of gratitude.

Yes! I've spent most of the morning trying to fix it with no joy.

The tips to delete the presets db file doesn't work.

I'm wondering if it's because I've installed them to an external drive (I'm on a Mac)

I've run into a bunch of missing resource and preset problems. Part of the issue seems to be to do with the fact that I've got the resources on a separate drive to the OS drive (this is on a Mac). The install-all option runs into trouble it seems about halfway through and it fails to complete the installation for some of the plugins in subtle ways.

One is that the images.info file doesn't get placed into the plugin's Install folder – which triggers a GUI error.

The other winds up with missing presets. I found the problem plugins wind up with their presets folder set to the installation date/time and not the build date (21/04/2025 or thereabouts). Uninstalling and reinstalling individually seems to fix it (which is a bit of a PITA for about 20 plugins out of the 45), though I'm not exactly going to use them all at once. As far as I can tell, the problem may stem from it downloading old presets (eg Jup-8 V3), which seems to corrupt the database and the Database Creator tool which seems to run as part of the installation stops adding presets from that point. The individual install doesn't download these old files.

The old trick of just deleting the db3 file doesn't seem to work. I could only unjam it by deleting the preset folders for each problem plugin and reinstalling. That has worked so far for me.

If on MacOS, giving full disk access to both ASC and its helper daemon seems to help - though it does seem to be able to install at least some of the plugins correctly.

I had a similar issue with updates to the FX so I think the problem might actually lie with a change in the latest ASC. Maybe I hadn't noticed it before, but you can select which formats to install on the Preferences. I think this might have introduced these bugs for the install-all operation.
