Because, from what I can tell, TVS Pro doesn't add anything new other than the sequencer, which is not something I would ever use. I would instead use the new pattern sequencer in Cubase 14 to create instrument loops.
Didn't you get an email to that effect?

Pretty cool to me. Have always thought that GForce presets are some of the best in the game.
Sorry, off topic. But THAT track was on a Billboard number one Dance/Electronic ablum? Good Lord, what does that say about the state of modern Electronic Music? That's got to be one of the least interesting (both musically and sonically) tracks I've heard in a while. It's not a good sign when I have to skip forward to the four minute mark to hear even a simple chord change, which is then tediously repeated for God knows how many more minutes. I gave up listening at that point.

It doesn't have to be Steely Dan. But a bit more musical sophisitcation would be appreciated.

I got an extra price cut on Checkout so it ended up costing £24.99 for me so try that out and see if you get something similar :)

Wouldn't say that the £33 price is bad either for what you get for the money.

It is sad that you cannot hear the sophistication in that track, but oh well.

Prydz is an animal. He is your (dance) producer's favorite producer. So many try to imitate and recreate him. They all fail.

Go ahead and give it a shot. I dare you.

No, and I also went to the My Instruments page on the GForce site and don't see a coupon offer or anything like that. Maybe I just haven't received the email yet? I did check, and I am set to receive the GForce newsletter.

Demoed it. It sounds good, as do all the Gforce synths. But I think it's my least favourite of their Oberheims. I don't care for the sequencer and I didn't like the weirdly fuzzy/blurred lettering that makes me feel like I've got cataracts when I look at it. Quite happy to stick with SEM.

My bad. I just didn't think of putting the TVS Pro in my basket to see if the price would go down. The £9 difference is thankfully not significant to me. But I do appreciate the gesture.

However, I just checked out the demo version of TVS Pro. I think I'll pass. If I didn't already own SEM, I would get it. But it doesn't add anything compelling for me. Plus, I like that I can see both the "front" and "rear" panels on the SEM simultaneously. Unless I'm missing something, I can't do that using TVS Pro.

Finally a decent Oberheim emulation.

can you describe your set up?
Mac or PC?
One Screen or two Screens?
What screen and resolution is it blurry on?

starflakeprj wrote: Tue Apr 29, 2025 3:29 pm For those "complaining" about recycled synths, the (intro) price is about the same as a soundpack (220+ new sounds) for any other synth. And you'll get a the synth as a bonus, so I don't mind.
Would it not be nice if the GForce dev team focused on something other than Oberheim?
My "issue" is not the price. It is time and energy lost on something that could have been, I guess.

For the record, I'm a big fan of GForce. Love their synths and how they sound.

Fun fact: one of my favorite producers uses GForce all of the time, and used a GForce preset for this track, see if you can notice it: That album achieved #1 on the US Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. Eric Prydz är najs!

Yeah, I do understand what you mean, and I have those thoughts as well. On the other hand, I don't have any suggestions. I really would like a "real" Alesis Andromeda A6 emulation, but that one might be too "modern". Arturia and Cherry Audio covers a lot of ground already, so what's left?

I didn't get an email (yet) but the extra discount was applied automatically when I added it to my cart.
Surely there must be consensus by now...
