i mean it literally IS a solution.

I use a symlink for my samples in Triaz and it works perfectly.

something is a solution if it actually works!

I have a shortcut that makes a symlink just by right clicking on a file/folder and selecting make symlink.

is it as elegant as having an inbuilt solution? No but it's pretty low effort and most importantly it works.
Is a symlink a Mac thing? If it is, is there a Windows 11 counterpart?

Thanks in advance!
Symbolic links(mac or win - *nix) are a filesystem trick that is mostly used for convenient folder mapping for end users or for tricking applications(applications that are too old and no longer updated, or poorly developed modern ones lol), and they can become orphaned or disconnected, and windows updates can sometimes break them. I dont know if apple updates can break them, as I only use macs at work and Ive never needed to symlink on macos.

Thanks for this.

This isn't another term for "shortcut," is it? If not, how does one make symlinks?

Thanks again!

There are a number of tools with guis that make it easy, such as https://github.com/arnobpl/SymlinkCreator

Na, its much more annoying than a shortcut lol. You have to go to command line and enter the correct commands to get it mapped, then you have to test it. On win10 you use mlink.

Yes, another option is that you can complicate the solution further by using a 3rd party tool to make a symlink so that wave alchemy doesnt have the patch triaz..... to simply use other folders, lol.

Once more for posterity-

Thanks, guys. Much appreciated.

Much more annoying??? As I said in my first post to you a year ago, it took 5 minutes to set up a symlink, from having never heard of them prior to that.

For all the annoyance that caused, I (and all the other brand defending parrots), have spent the entirety of that year using our user samples in Triaz, while you have remained frustrated that you cannot.

You claim it's not a workaround, because it "can be problematic". Yet, updates on Windows in that period didn't break it for me. I haven't heard anyone else mention that updates broke it for them. And you didn't even try to set it up to find out.

You went from one paragraph saying "Symlinks are literally not a solution", to the following paragraph saying "If symlinks are the solution for failed commitments, then not spending another cent on wave alchemy products is also a solution". So, you clearly don't mean it when you say they're "literally not a solution", you clearly just mean they're "literally an inconvenience" to you. That's why we keep parroting on at you for your stubbornness.

Anyway, carry on, as I'm sure you will.
Until forever fades away.

Also Revolution and Bassynth have been updated.
That's great! But how can you tell that Bassynth and Revolution were updated (and when they were updated)? Not that I'm doubting, but I can't see this in my account. Can you tell us where to find this info? It's a just bit of a slog to DL this for those of us with slower connections. Thanks!
They popped up as updates in Native Access 2 over here.

Triaz Changelog / Release Notes

Version 1.1.2 (release date: May 5th 2025)

1. Fixed Host Sync Bug on Windows
2. Various Performance updates
3. Added NKS Support

Post

If this teaches any developer reading these threads anything, it is to NEVER ever promise a timeline or features down the line. As much as you want to, people's entitlement is just too strong these days.

This isn't meant as a jab at WA, more like a general observation as to how riled up users get when this or that promised feature has WHYHOWCOULDYOUHAVENOTDELIVERED!!!111! happened yet. Take a breather.

Post

I am not aware of WaveAlchemy making any 'promises'. All they talked about were certain things that were in their development pipeline which is most definitely not a promise of either a feature or a date that feature will be available.

You should only ever by software for what it can do now. Not what it may or may not do in the future.

Thanks but where on earth is this hidden?

Didn't get e-mail. Didn't get notification when starting Triaz. Can't find the changelog on the website.

What am I doing wrong?

Yes, you're doing something wrong :D

When logged in to the website goto downloads and check the version history under Triaz.
