I considered it, but then used TaiChi to get close enough, and also think that the free (for now) Spaceblender also does something similar. But neither sound just like Cloudburst, so if that's the sound you love.....

Very musical reverb. I took it for a spin last night:

The Baritone Guitar from Omnisphere sounds quite delightful through Cloudburst. Even drum loops get a nice touch of magical sheen.

Nice, but its not much cheaper to be fair- there are a lot of shimmer reverbs out there (Blackhole is often 29USD and the ever popular Shimmer from Valhalla is 50 bucks) but Cloudburst is quite different to a normal shimmer (or a normal reverb), it has a unique sound, and as others have said- if you want 'that' sopu8ld then its great to have in a plugin (I paid £250 for the pedal!)
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

For me, this plugin isn't necessarily about the pronounced high-frequency 'burst' as per track 2 of the audio demos page, but more the attempts at 'acoustic' spaces as per tracks 1 and 6 etc of this Strymon webpage:

https://www.strymon.net/product/cloudbu ... gin/#audio

Put simply, those spaces appeal to me more - and so I'll buy it soon.

Agreed. Been demo-ing this quite a bit. Currently running it after Ujam NEO, fed by Microtonic, in Cantabile, on a 14 year old Toshiba laptop (i3/8GB ram, win-10). Lots of fun! Will likely pick it up for the workstations asap.

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

I bought it, selling the hardware pedal as I think I will use this more ITB stereo than into my (mono) amp. It sounds exactly as the recorded pedal...

I found a site to get 10% off if it still works-

Wavetable synth (Falcon) improv straight into Cloudburst, parameter automation executed in a second pass.
