MMatcher and extremely loud, distorted response [SOLVED]

When using MMatcher, sometimes I get an incredibly loud, distorted output. Like, ear damaging loud. I don't think I am doing anything wrong: I analyze input, then if I choose the Headphones folder, it explodes on me. If, however, I choose the Headphones icon, it sounds fine. Also, if I switch from a Headphone analyses, to a mastering one, the same thing happens. I know about AGC, and I don't think it's related. It is so loud that it sounds like it is boosting it as loud as it can go. It actually makes me nervous to go all in on this product.
Edit: I'm a fool. I figured out the problem.

I tried it yesterday especially the headphone profiles for my headphone and didn't have such issue. I did click on different folders as you mentioned.

Haven't gotten around to MMatcher yet, but Turbocomp sometimes has produced extreme output levels. After using Set on AGC (right hand toolbar) perhaps? Don't quote me on this, I just thought that it could be related somehow.

Yeah, the AGC and/or the Limiter's don't help. It's like no EQ is even being adjusted at first, just boosting the volume. It's so weird haha. I think there is something wrong with my system as there doesn't seem to be anyone else experiencing this. Thanks so much for the response!jan-sandahl wrote: Tue May 13, 2025 4:01 pm Haven't gotten around to MMatcher yet, but Turbocomp sometimes has produced extreme output levels. It's happening for me as well. I'm not sure what you're supposed to use as the input sound. I tried it with an unmastered track and the headphone profiles were extremely loud, and the guitar presets were super quiet.commonchild wrote: Tue May 13, 2025 4:10 pm I think there is something wrong with my system as there doesn't seem to be anyone else experiencing this.
Only the master presets worked okay, which kind of make sense. But I don't think the headphone presets should break your system. Maybe there should be a limit on how much loudness is adjusted since it's kind of irrelevant for this kind of processing.

Thank you! I am so glad someone else knows what I am talking about. I thought I was going crazy haha. I also tried on another system, and the same thing was happening. I reached out to Melda, and they said to use the Limiter, but that doesn't help. In my video, it shows the initial selection of the headphones folder, and there is no EQ being applied, only a massive boost, which would kill my ears if the volume wasn't down.Held wrote: Tue May 13, 2025 4:51 pmIt's happening for me as well.
