Repro-5, Why can't I automate Unison/Poly?!

Am I missing something?
I need to switch Unison off and on for a particular track. I'm having to use 2 tracks with 2 repros, one with unison off. And it's doing my head in!
WTF? lol.
(If it is indeed impossible, would I be cleaner automating a preset change? Or what?)

You could assign a MIDI CC number to it on the MIDI Learn/Table pages (cog wheel icon, top right corner).
Then draw that MIDI "automation" into a MIDI lane on your Repro track.

I wish you guys would make everything that is midi learnable also automatable (for control surfaces like Push and Maschine and Novation)

I thought of that, but what's it called in the list? Voice Circuit: Voice Logic? The unshushable Coktor wrote: Wed Dec 15, 2021 9:45 pm You could assign a MIDI CC number to it on the MIDI Learn/Table pages (cog wheel icon, top right corner).

Hint, if you're ever not sure, enable "Write" automation mode in your DAW, and press the button or move the parameter. The DAW should write a new automation lane for that.

I'm using the Rev 16797, VST3, Mac ARM64 version of Repro-5 inside of Ableton Live 12, and I've noticed that if you try to configure the Unison parameter so it appears in the parameters list of the device in a track, it won't automatically appear when you touch it. It's the only parameter I've wanted to be able to map to my MIDI controller that I haven't been able to. Is this a bug?

Hi oovvrr, the answer to that is already in this very thread, up above. Unison on/off is not an automation parameter and therefore will not appear where you usually find automation parameters (i.e. Ableton's device panels).

Hi Viktor,
Thanks for the quick response. Much appreciated.
As Echoes in the Attic mentioned above, I’m trying to understand the reason for a parameter being MIDI learnable and mappable within the plugin itself, but not being automatable via the host DAW. Is there a technical reason/limitation?
I understand this isn’t a feature that’s likely to be added, just genuinely curious to know!
Kind Regards!
