I especially find it strange that one always has to doubleclick a rhythm or pattern to hear it, which closes the dialog. What an annoying way to find something fitting - why not a single click and the dialog staying open?

While I look forward to actually being able to use it, I hope they find their way back to usability...

Yes. In v3.1. Expected mid/late April.

Try click and hold.

It does both

Click and hold on the pattern representation and it auditions and the window stays open.
Double click on the name and it loads and closes the window.

Weird, but thanks to both of you.
Still no idea why I can't just select the preset to audition like most other such browsers...
Let's see if they either improve all those small cumbersome things or if it eventually will grow on me enough to really use it.

Still managed to get the new version scaler 3 to crash Ableton 12 (win11) in 5 seconds. Choose a few chords -­­­­ drag and drop into the daw = insta crash.

Just updated.

Opened a session that had scaler 3 in it and got the beautiful "A serious program error has occurred.
Live will shut down after this message box is closed."

It's definitely Scaler causing this because if I start a new session and drag in the Scaler 3 track or device from the crashing session I get the same error.

If I start a new session then I can load scaler fine.

What a mess.

It's still unstable and so many small annoying bugs.
The workflow is a nightmare too.
Should have built it on Scaler 2 more.

Some are saying they should have built it on Scaler 1. I never used v1, but that was apparently the most streamlined and easy to use.

Scaler 3 Version 1.07 is now available for download on the scaler music website. Just installed and confirmed ASIO support in the standalone application is there.

Still a confusing piece of software.

I have crap going on all over the place that I don't know how to delete.
It's all the hidden menus within menus stuff.


I wanted to RMB click the selected blocks and delete them all but after searching through every thing,I could not find that simple task.

I have a weird sequence going which is all out of time but I can't reset scaler and start again.

Trying to navigate through menu after menu to find the rhythmic parts of the sequence to edit is too frustrating and time consuming.

Just as confusing as Scaler 2 sorry.

I think I would do better just playing my midi kb and coming up with something than navigate through the mess that is Scaler 3.

I don't get the A B and C setup.

I would get on with just one and work everything from that.

Confusing as hell.

I never get anything out of manuals.
I usually work things out by trial and error.

I get anxiety through the roof reading a manual.

Squinting with my poor eyesight does not help.


I have keratoconus.

Also gave up caffeine this week as it makes me too anxious.
Love the stuff but the negatives far out weigh the benefits.

Never done drugs.
