based on your annual spending, but they stopped that.

Related to that, among these plugins which would you choose?
- Waterfall B3 Organ
- Ravel
- LA-6176 Signature Channel Strip or Teletronix LA-2A Tube Compressor (considering I already have the UA 1176 Classic FET Compressor and the Centyry Tube Channel Strip)
The code isn't valid for the (discounted) item in my cart. A different item than the ones you mentioned though. Does the code work for you?
Try the code SORRYPOLYMAX. It shaved an extra $25 off for me (min $50 purchase).
Classic UA! They give us a coupon with a 50 dollar min purchase, yet discount most of the desirable plugins to 49 so they don't apply. :dog:
Yep. I would’ve bought the minimoog and they could have at least got 25 dollars of my money but since they want to be tricky and cheap I’m not buying anything, another useless discount code

Classic KVR!

Venerable and respected music software company gives away a soft synth AND gives away a coupon code for users who already have the freebie.

KVR users

they're " tricky and cheap" and, its "a useless code" and "discount most of the desirable plugins to 49 so they don't apply" .

Meanwhile code works on user selected bundles like any 2 of anything they have (pick 2 products that are already discounted and they give you an extra $25 off the total) .

Also ITS A FREE SYNTH!!!!

A bit unfair mate, it seems a very good offer to me.
You get 1 free synth and 2 plugins of your choiche from their whole catalog for $75.
Not bad at all IMHO

Thanks a lot! I should find something to give to the community too and not just grab

Well, it does seem a bit unfair to people who already bought the synth. Those who didn't, get a freebie, those who paid for the synth only get to pay more.

Just like that time I saw someone giving out free food after I'd just eaten lunch. No justice in this unfair world

Right. It turned me right off from the sale. Forget the "free" synth and only consider the coupon code. It does nothing when most of the individual products are priced a dollar below actually being able to use the code. Which in turn means you can't use the code without spending much more than intended.

IKM does similar shenanigans with Jampoints. They offer points from purchases to turn into discount codes, except one only gets to spend 30% off with Jampoints at one time and not on sale items. Yet the sales are usually 50% off. So JP have very limited use.

All a bunch of purposeful marketing/sales gimmickry.

Everyone does that. Doesn't make it less annoying though. You'd expect them to try harder and make it less obvious)

I don't think everyone does that. But yes it is quite annoying for the ones that do.

I'd prefer, if I get a coupon code, it have no minimum cost to use. There was a time UA was doing that it seems..

Universal Audio technically isn't obligated to give back anything at all, whether it be a free plugin, or a discount code. You have to also realize that they always offer free plugins regularly! there is obviously going to be a point in which you already have the plugin that they're giving away.

That would’ve been years ago. It’s been like this for a while. Anyway, the bundles are the best deals, and they’re all over $49.

The discount code SORRYPOLYMAX that someone posted here, worked with the 'Make your own bundle' for me, but I have to take a time out on more plugins/gear acquirements, due to tax-foolery.

No one is obligated to do anything. That's not the point. It would be all right if they'd just give away a freebie without any "compensation" for those who already have the synth. But since the discount code is in fact the point, some people rightfully get annoyed.
