I said you can pick 2 plugins and then use the code for a purchase over $50. I even gave an example of very desirable products that can be discounted in addition to the sale price.
Its not all gloom and doom as you would like. UA has made an effort to do right by its customers. Some folks just cant be reached and refuse to appreciate anything.
"a 49 product" singular.A $25 coupon used twice on a $49 product means UA would owe the user $1 cash back. This seems the only way some could be happy.
How is that pick 2 plugins?

I can give you free 1176 and Century Tube licenses. IMO, their best freebie was Verve Essentials, I've since upgraded to the full version but still mainly use the Essentials algorithms.maschinelf wrote: Wed May 28, 2025 7:01 am Is UA Connect the only way to claim a license and install Polymax? That does seem to be the case and in that case I'll pass. I haven't bothered to install it for the one other UA freebie I got (Oxide Tape Recorder) and doesn't seem worth it for this either. I suppose it would for someone in need of another VA or tape plugin, but am pretty well covered in these areas.

Do you have to, though?Kurdish Mayfield wrote: Wed May 28, 2025 6:07 pm I still cant believe that I have to argue with someone that a giveaway is somehow bad or evil.

Just don't argue. You guys aren't going to see eye-to-eye on this.

It's not clear how you have missed it, but UAD is evil. They try to hook in new customers while pissing of their loyal customers, regularly.Kurdish Mayfield wrote: Wed May 28, 2025 6:07 pm I still cant believe that I have to argue with someone that a giveaway is somehow bad or evil.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Unfortunately UAD is not alone in this. Many companies now seem to be chasing the short term $$$ at the expense of longer term customers. I have stopped buying from several companies because of this. Others I have stopped buying from when there is a product I am interested in until they have a > 50% off sale.

I just want to offer a perspective that we KVR people (or at least us folks in this thread) likely are more detail and/or price oriented than "The masses". And these companies are probably basing their policies on how "The masses" behave (not as price conscious/impulse buys/don'tpay close attentionto discount rules), because that's what likely impacts them most heavily. I'm not saying that has to meet with anyone's approval, but that's business doing business. If their marketing departments are working correctly they are maximizing profits with the policies they have in place.

Anyone else really put off by the new UA website design?
Personally, I can't stand these "mobile-friendly - 1 size fits all" websites. And . . . the fact that you can't filter plugins in the shop any more to NOT show what you already own is a huge step backwards. I've owned UA stuff since the original UAD-1, so maybe I'm just being curmudgeony (new word!). Anyone who wants to "suggest improvements" to the UA website can use this form (linked to me by UA tech support)

Bummer
Compare that to the resale value of UAD plug-ins, which is around zeroish, and you got the perfect extremes.

Hmm, I wonder how long until I see an upgrade price that I like for Pro Q4. Looking at my records, I waited about 15 mo to upgrade Pro Q2 - 3. I think I waited longer than necessary as I was loath to buy plugins and in HW mode at the time.

Eventide currently has 2 sales, and they will launch their annual “Pluginpalooza” in less than 2 weeks.
That's in addition to more (coming and ongoing) from their distributed Newfangled.
