Great! you did it  :) the conversion is great as it seems to smooth those abrupt stairs (or at least is what I see), so the parameters would change more naturally.
Tested on a few projects here.. no bugs found (tested about 10 mins), for now.
Later I'll check more deeply.

--> "I think MuLab is too much seen as a DAW and too little as a creative modular sound & composition tool."

:tu:
There is a lot of sonic power in MuLab's modular sound system. Much of this sonic power is buried under the 'unconventional DAW' aspect.
:tu: <--

 These statements are exactly what it is.

Especially the MuTools - modular sound system makes this DAW (next to Bitwig, which is something completely different) so incredibly interesting.
(That's why I implemented my MuTools synth project 'just for fun' for testing.)
This is especially true from the point of view of price/performance. In addition, this incredibly good support.

Of course, I would be thrilled if the sound synth engine (polysynth) would get a few small additions, which would make it possible to create some ideas (especially operation for users of the created plug). (The rest I had emailed ! ;))

Keep it up!!! :tu:

MuLab App M10.0.62 beta for Windows 64 bit is available on https://www.mutools.com/mulab/app/lates ... /beta.html

What's changed:
  • Several improvements to the Note Length Modifier.
  • Fade outs on audio clips were drawn reversed. Fixed.
  • Live Matrix: Copying non-looped clips from the Time Line now keep their original clip length.
  • Live Matrix: Play position lines now also use the "Play Cursor Line Color" preference, like in the Time Line.
  • Live Matrix: Fixed live clip drawing issue for clips with limited length.
  • Other small improvements.

the name of the (MIDI) controller doesn't fit the reserved place - those can be quite long, maybe better 2 or more lines

I've just started using Vital, pretty good for a freebie!
After playing with the theme's, I noticed how much difference it makes to have the glow effect. Especially for movements like the dots on LFO's when playing notes etc.
I know it's of low interest/importance, but it could well make MuLab better looking to have a few of the Colour parameters have this "glow" effect. Just add an extra setting to the current colour for anything that makes a line, outline, and maybe certain fill colours like those for user buttons, module on/off buttons or knobs/sliders?
Anyway, I just thought it worth mentioning as it can make a vast difference to the look of MuLab to lift it out of the current look that many have pointed out is not on par with other DAW's. Personally, I don't have an issue with the looks of MuLab, but would be nice to have something like this. :)

Another enhancement would be to have gradients on the Waveform display. It looks pretty neat in Vital. Simple, but makes it look way better than simple block colours. Waveforms typically have up to five colours - Line colour, then you can specify up to four gradients for the wave display. Though just two gradients would be enough.

That's indeed a very old code section that needed some update.
Polished in the next update.

Taking abstraction from the concrete suggestions you listed, i agree that adding some eye candy can do wonders, and can even spice the inspiration. I admit i underestimated that in the past and step by step progressing into that direction. Examples are the LFO play dot and some little animation on inserting an envelope point. That's just a beginning. I hope to add more of such subtle eye candy. Surely also more nice visual feedback in the modular area. Todo, step by step.

this deserves a topic on its own: eye candy

Hey Jo. Talking about Live Matrix, it would be nice to have at least one demo song arranged exclusively in Live Matrix.

Very nice one!

While I haven’t seen the changes yet, it would be nice to be able to configure the startup window for color preference at least.

Not a big deal, but personally, I would like it to be consistent, if I had my way.

Somehow most of the VST3-2 have issues with the virtual keyboard on my windows machine:

If I interact (adjusting parameters, changing presets) with instruments such as Pigments, Zebra, Massive-x etc, the Virtual Keyboard loses the input/focus and the only way to get it back to the plugin is to click the plugin's title bar.

Serum 1 and 2 never have this issue... why?

Surface Pro W-10. All and latest MuLab version.
