we use what we want, what works for us. and the work is ultimately more important than the tools. but you knew this already...
We know you're the ultimate Apple fanboy. You keep praising Logic regardless of how bad their quality assurance is.
am a macuser, not a fanboy. i praise logic because i love working in it (i've used PT, and live as well). not sure what the 'quality assurance' issue is (i also use FCP, for a long time, and enjoy that).

can you specifically describe your personal experience with logic, that leads you to make your statement? (personally, i don't complain about things i don't own or use)

What exactly do you want to know?
Them messing up various zoom functions that worked fine for decades?
Or Logic not properly recognizing audio files with a max. peak below 35dB (since over a year)?
Or Apple introducing a new feature (flashback recording) that you can't switch off but that will start showing some "issues" when you're in cycle (playback) mode for longer?
Or them to still not adressing ARA?
Or them to still have an audio editor that is the polar opposite of evolution?
Or them to release a bass plugin causing crackles at low latencies?
Or them to come up with that stupid "externalisation" of plugin processes, causing some plugins not to work properly when they work just fine in ANY other host?

Etc.

Those who can do maths and those who can't.

sorry you're personally experiencing these issues. i appreciate the issue of ARA (complicated)... but none of those things are issues here (meaning i can do every single thing i need to do), as is true for many logic users. all my 3rd-party plugins work (and i have many).

meanwhile, there are issues and bugs with all DAWs, all software. but you know that already :tu:

Completely irrelevant. I could've said that with Logic 3.x already.

nice you can keep things simple! here, personally, i rely on a more-modern DAW...

EDIT: apologies, seems sascha franck & i are derailing this thread, so will move on :tu:

I rely on a more modern DAW as well. But I'd prefer this very DAW to be properly tested and maintained. Which isn't the case.

I've tried very hard for years to enjoy Alchemy in Logic Pro. It never fails that after 5 or 10 minutes it leaves me cold and I move on to other synths. For you Alchemy fans and users can you explain to me how you are using it most often and what for?
