Hey guys quick question for linplug spectral owners were you able to register your product at Hgsounds with the serial number?
I purchased linplug spectral back in 2020 from user classic at kvr and was informed by brave dog that the serial number could not be used at hgsounds making it not legal and requested a refund was I possibly sold an illegitimate product?
How can I tell now that linplug has gone defunct is hgsounds a good place to determine if the serial is good I need some help on this one.

There is a hgsounds sound pack for Spectral but Spectral itself just needs the serial - no CR

I heard back from hgsounds who say they did not take over Linplug or authorize licenses. So contacting classic won't serve. Unless classic can complete license transfer to me with actual owners.
Though this appears discontinued software you did not give me a valid license registration but a serial you, classic, and anyone who has it can all use without permission, so this is bootleg, please refund now - in the unlikely event license is transferred to me via classic, I'll pay you again.. Thx
This is what happened to me so I issued the refund since the linplug website was defunct and license transfer is no longer available I believe I did the right thing it’s been a long time since I made music so I guess this will be a lesson for anyone else to use as information going forward.

It isn't possible to transfer any LinPlug licenses these days as the company is long gone.
The best you can achieve is for someone to sell you their serial number but nothing can stop them from copying it and selling it multiple times, if it was legit to begin with.
