Hello,

i have Waveform 11 Pro and wanted to get a new license key to install it on a new computer. i also have Waveform 13 Free and wanted to try it on the same computer but it needs a key. i sent a few requests to you at the end of last year but haven't heard back. even tried to contact you through my Tracktion account but no luck. was wondering how i can get those keys.

You can install versions you've paid for on a few PCs using the same licence key. If you reach the maximum number of installs (I don't recall how many it is), contact support and they'll unregister all your registrations so that the first time you next use it on any PC you'll have to go through signing in and registering.

I've tried installing the free version on a PC that has a paid-for version on it*, but it automatically considered it the paid-for version.

* I wanted to be able to use the Free version in order to collaborate with a friend who was unlikely to buy the full version.

it was already discussed last year in my memory, license keys are specific license files that are always downloaded to the same folder, downloaded when you connect to your account at once, absolutely everything that is on your account when you launch the download manager or when you click the update license button in the program settings menu. The priority of the keys that the program perceives is located like this: "purchased" - > "test" - > "free", that is, if your account has three pro licenses at once, trial and free, the program will always be considered purchased and run as pro, if you have two keys trial and free, the program will run as pro before the trial period expires, this can be used in two ways, you can close the program and manually (without starting the download manager) delete\move the keys you don't need from the keys folder, when getting the license you need at startup or in the program itself, in the settings in the advanced section at the very top, manually select the license availability level in the feature set parameter, restart the program and it will have the access level you need.

Once the additional plugins coming bundled together with the Waveform app are installed to your computer, they will of course also be seen by the free version, the same as they are also seen and usable by any other DAW, unless you would have removed their license file(s). So, if you refer to those Extras of the PRO bundle, yes, then you will not notice a change. But the intrinsic set of features of the Waveform app should switch.
If with all this information you couldn't solve the situation, then your only remaining option seems to be to again contact the Tracktion support. I couldn't find anymore other options to contact them besides the "Tracktion Bot" (lower left corner on the Support page), though.
However, I asked the bot: "where is the zendesk for uploading a bug report?"
and got the answer:

Include screenshots or screen recordings if possible
Report one issue per submission

People are waving at me from the audience and telling me that to get the free version key to your account, you not only need to have an account on the site, but also visit the waveform free page to click the download button. But I personally do not guarantee anything, everything is at your own risk.
