I've tried adjusting the force string and hand position settings, but they seem to only work for single note.
For example, I want to play G2+G3 on the D and B string using x8x5.
Even when I set the hand position to fret 5, it still gives me x80x instead.
Another case: I want to perform a slide from D3+D4 to E3+E4 using 10x7 > 12x9 on the e and G string, so I set the hand position to fret 7.
However, the result is not what I expected ,
slide doesn't work correctly, and the playback sounds very strange.
Is there a proper way to achieve this?
Also, is there a way to control whether or not open strings are used?
How can I force specific strings and frets?(telos)

Hmmm... I've just loaded Telos, init snapshot, set hand position to 5 and played G2+G3, and I got the fingering you wanted without anything extra done...
Do you perhaps have Poly Input Latency increased away from 0 ms? I think only in this case I can see the open string being used instead of fret 5.
Also, you can force string before every note you play, if you want to be really exact.

Thank you for your reply.
I’ve tried setting the Poly Input Latency between 0–25ms, but it still doesn’t work correctly.
For example, when I input D3 + D4, it results in an unrealistic fingering. I’ve also tried using Force String, but when I want to play more than one note at the same time or perform a Legato Slide, it becomes very difficult.
If it were possible to make the Hand Position strictly enforced, it would be much easier.

Open strings are always valid regardless of hand position, if I remember correctly (which is also true on the actual instrument).
I think the reason it worked for me is because I played the octave in, I didn't sequence it. So naturally one note arrived slightly earlier than other. You can try sequencing it like that as well - lower note arriving ever so slightly before the upper note of an octave fingering. If you start playback in the middle of the notes, Reaper is going to send both MIDI notes at the same tick, which might throw the fingering algorithm off.
