This is more than an annoyance, it's blocking popups in Vital I need to load new banks.
Anyway to turn this off? I'm about to rtage-quit this and go back to hardware.
All info appreciated!

Turn off sandboxing, if only for that plugin. Note that rules are different for Linux and I have no idea about that. There is already a thread about Linux and always on top windows here somewhere.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

I'll try that, and see if I can get my search-fu strong and find the other thread.
Thanks!

ok, I've tried disabling sandboxing, trying to adjust Linux window ordering, pfft, zero luck. This wasn't a problem under Windows, but I'd rather suck off Godzilla than go back to Windows.
Time to drink coffee and think, maybe a used Mac if I can find one that'll run a newer version of MacOs, the older Intel ones kind of dead end a bit early for my taste...

This problem is related with JUCE coding in some plugins that runs in X11, LSP-Plugins fixed that bug in their plugins.SuitcaseOfLizards wrote: Fri Jun 20, 2025 10:04 pm ok, I've tried disabling sandboxing, trying to adjust Linux window ordering, pfft, zero luck. This is an issue with Vital 1.5.5 (latest). Me, I give up, so..
Thanks for all the help, some things improved it but pffft it could be a Vital-only issue. Blech. Time for find a Linux replacement maybe... something from U-He, possibly.

Sigh, I give up. Hardware wins.
Fire up W13, load a VSTI, delete, add a new one, delete - CRASH.
Fire up W13, load a VSTi, add VSTio to new track, delete track, switch VSTi in new track - CRASH
Crash, crash, crash.. but only with VSTi, effets seem stable and so does loop usage.
I'm tired beyond reason of being an unpaid tester for Waveform on Linux. Whether or not YOURS works is meaningless, MINER DOES NOT.
Switching to Audacity/Liven Ambient0/Liven Evoke. THAT is reliable.
Been using Trackltion since T3. All things must come to an end, though.
I'm glad it works for others, it doesn't here and I'm sick of wasting time on it.
