Hi,

Though an oldie at KVR, I'm new to the KVR Studio Manager. I have a large number of VST plugins and am now transferring to a new computer (both are PC laptops). I watched the (great!) introductory videos, but failed to understand the process of transferring/copying over VSTs.

As I understand it, I should
1. Install KVR Studio Manager on both computers
2. Log in to KVR on the old computer.
3. Scan the plugins on the old computer and then sync these data to KVR.
4. Log in to KVR on the new computer.
5. ...well this is what I don't really get. What would be the smartest way?

(BTW: A few years back, I wrote on this forum about a vision with a KVR installer that all s/w companies could use, to avoid the hassle of multiple company-specific plugin managers (imagine Steinberg, Melda, ... brought into one manager). Besides stopping clogging up our SSDs, it would make life easier for indie developers. I understand though that there must be a commercial incentive for having independent plugin managers - the locked-in effect.)

Thanks!

In the web frame you can choose the Compare option to compare the two computers. This will show you what's on (or not) both computers.

Thanks Ben,

Yes, I saw that in the video. So I guess that would be step number 5, then install the software I want from the individual vendors until I am happy with the new assortment.

Thanks!
