is it possible to do surround mixing in tracktion? are there any plugins that will help do this?

not that i have found but if u use senderella witch is freewhere u can send a sertan amount of a trak to another trak witch u can put fx on then rute to a diff main out http://tracktionfaction.com/

I'm sure there are tedious workarounds, but you're better off exporting to another app to do it for now.

okay. I was just looking around and found some plugins made by Acousmodules and there were some weird looking synthedit plugs that they said could be used in tracktion if used racks. Was just wondering if anyone knew anything about this.

It might be possible to build a surround mixer in a rack: If you create a new input (pair?) for each track, route each one to a surround panner plug, which in turn generates your 5.1 (or whatever) mix. This would then need to be piped out through 6 (for 5.1) analogue outputs..
