Hi, I’m hoping someone here can shine some light on the problem I’m having.
My computer just started to behave like this one day.
Whenever I open a project having Sylenth1 in it (which is more and less all of them) FL studio started to freeze with flickering screen and high CPU load. I don’t know why it started; there were no hardware or settings changes within Windows 11 that I made.
I found out after days of troubleshooting that if I exported a project to wav file, everything was working perfectly afterwards. No more freeze, no flickering and CPU load back to normal. That is still really no solution for me tough, because with freezing and flickering FL Studio and high CPU load it takes a while to be able to export the project file.
But I don’t understand why exporting a project to a wav file makes everything work perfectly.
I thought it might be the GPU because that was the oldest part of my computer, but upgrading the GPU did not fix this. So, I wanted to know if the CPU was the problem, so I borrowed a CPU from a friend, but with no success, problem continued.
I continued troubleshooting and I finally found out that if I removed Sylenth1 from my computer (Only 64bit was installed) the problem more and less vanished. What I mean by more and less is that the flickering, and high CPU load vanished, but there were occasions of hiccup, but it worked still like 99% better than it did with Sylenth1 installed and I could now in few fast click export to wav and those small hiccups were gone, but that just tells me that the underlying problem of this might perhaps be somewhere else, but it just got triggered by Sylenth1?
So, I continued troubleshooting and I found out that if I loaded some flp’s that I bought from Myloops.net (with Sylenth1 installed) they ran perfectly!!! I don’t get it!!! Why do all my projects that I have created through the years freeze and flicker with high CPU load, but projects from myloops.net run perfectly.
And yes, I’ve done a clean installation of Windows 11 but this problem just reappears.
Now I work on my projects with no Sylenth1 installed, but I want my Sylenth1 up and working.

Problem have been solved...
It was fixed by disabling Graphic Acceleration for Fabfilter plugins.
Why removing Sylenth1 made FL Studio to run better I don't know, but everything is working fine now.
