NI / 10 Phantom Rooms just dropped a new drum machine for Kontakt.
Personally, I hard-pass anything drum-related that runs inside the Kontakt engine, just not my thing workflow-wise. Sound and interface are solid though.

I'm not quite fully passing on Kontakt yet but I'd rather have some modular tube drum thingy in Reaktor...enCiphered wrote: Tue Jul 01, 2025 8:06 pm Personally, I hard-pass anything drum-related that runs inside the Kontakt engine, just not my thing workflow-wise. NI Voucher didn't work for it.

it's an NKS-partner-instruments. vouchers usually don't work for these. unfortunatelly.
tried to buy crosstalk modular with my 99€ kontakt 8 voucher...

You're probably right, but aren't all NI libraries made by someone else? I don't quite know what use the voucher isaudio/fault wrote: Wed Jul 02, 2025 8:11 amit's an NKS-partner-instruments. vouchers usually don't work for these. unfortunatelly.

Yes, you're right. It's just a bummer. Would've been great for $24.audio/fault wrote: Wed Jul 02, 2025 8:11 am it's an NKS-partner-instruments. vouchers usually don't work for these. unfortunatelly.

Sounds interesting but you have to process the sound further for making it punch more. Looking forward to some yt reviews but it's not a must have for me.
First and foremost: We need great songs (again)

actually not much, if you're not into hiphop or acoustic instruments. the play series works with the voucher, the session (guitar, bass, drums, etc.) and a few others. not much for an electronic musician like me (and i have most of the electronic orientated play-packs).ians wrote: Wed Jul 02, 2025 3:30 pmYou're probably right, but aren't all NI libraries made by someone else? MR1 Valve Data is $24.50 right now, and all other 10 Phantom Room libraries are discounted too, including the full bundle for $199.

Tempting offer. Some unique and interesting sounds. Does anyone find these libraries useful in non-scoring/soundtrack context?

Thanks. Bought MR1. Their other stuff is pretty esoteric and seems to be for composers.

Thanks. Yes, it seems so. MR1 and RSI 2 are particularly interesting to me, so I might get those.Uncle E wrote: Sun Feb 22, 2026 4:22 pm Thanks. Bought MR1. Their other stuff is pretty esoteric and seems to be for composers.
