Hey everyone,

I've been toying with the idea of picking up Energy XT for use as a sub host in Tracktion. Does anybody have experience with it?
It looks like a really useful way to layer instruments and construct FX paths for Tracktion.
Would I be able to run more than one instance of it in Tracktion? Can I save instrument and FX templates as I construct them for later use?
Just want to know how it is and how good it is in Tracktion before I shell out the hard cash and support what looks like a really interesting piece of software.

1) Does anybody have experience with it? Yes lots of us. I've had it for a long time and it works great with Tracktion.

2) Would I be able to use more than one instance?
Yup. You can even have EXT's within EXT's within EXT's........
But yes, multiple instances, no probs.

3) Can I save instrument and FX templates as I construct them for later use?
Yes it has its own file and preset browser. Or you can use Tracktion's preset manager to save your Ext's.

4) Just want to know how it is and how good it is in Tracktion.

Its very good. Try the demo to make sure it works for you. Of course a lot of the routing stuff can be handled by Tracktion's rack-filters aswell, but EXT is a lot more, it has a great arp beat slicing ect.

yeah go for it!

i would read about it for ages, people using eXT and tracktion (and i would always thinking "no tracktion is amazing i don't need eXT!)...

but trying it out opened loads of possibilities for me.

also bear in mind that you get a smashing sampler and beatslicer for the price! :D it's officially infinite value!
Kick, punch, it's all in the mind.

Even though Tracktion has racks, I still find myself using eXT for the modular stuff. And, as mentioned, it has so much more! :D
