I think I have an unusual question and I couldn't find an answer yet. I recently got a Novation SL MK 3 controller and i'm trying to control Sylenth with it as an external hardware. SL has a bunch of screens, knobs and buttons that can be mapped to control a lot of of things in Sylenth and I managed to do just that. I change presets with buttons, ADSR with faders, and a lot of other Sylenth parameters with knobs and a lot of things are visual on SL displays. All works perfect but... after I change a preset the data on my SL screens and buttons is not updated with the new data from the preset. Before moving this question to Novation support is Sylenth sending midi data out back to a controller? Or is even possible something like this in a DAW? I tried with Pro Tools, Logic and Live but can't seem to figure it out.

Thanks.

What do you think?
Is it possible to create a host program for VST instruments that allows MIDI feedback? The current design of these plug-ins allows them to be controlled via MIDI CC messages, but they don't communicate "externally."
Why?! 🤷🏼‍♂️
It would be very useful if an external MIDI controller could know the position of each knob after changing a preset. This would avoid the effect of jumping back to the last saved position after changing a preset. You can also change something with the mouse after adjusting the virtual knob, but it might be useless because the parameter jumps after moving the assigned controller knob anyway – you know what I mean, because you know the problem. 🫶🏻
