- Hitting a note only randomly opens the sample settings. Changing the settings in preferences (as recommended in this topic) doesn't help.
This one we just fixed last week, there was a small bug in it!

That explanation makes much more sense to me. Thanks.monkeyc_audio wrote: Mon Jun 16, 2025 3:00 pm Hi dionenoid,
I try to keep the support away from forums, because it does not allow me to get very specific about particular issues.
Also, I often ask our users if they'd like to do a screenshare so I can fully comprehend any issues and/or help resolve them.
Last, we do tackle in order of 'popularity' and that can't be measured on a forum.
Problem is that my studio system is not online much and doesn't have a mail client. So i hope you understand that a request/report system like yours is not ideal...
Thanks. When will the update be available ?monkeyc_audio wrote: Mon Jun 16, 2025 3:02 pm - Hitting a note only randomly opens the sample settings. Changing the settings in preferences (as recommended in this topic) doesn't help.

ok, quick update:dionenoid wrote: Sun Jun 15, 2025 4:19 pm Some remarks/issues/questions :
1. Steals focus from the daw, highly annoying.
2. Still no global envelope settings ?
3. Where can one set 'normalise' levels ? I can only find an on/off switch.
4. Numerical value input doesn't work in the edit window![]()
5. Changing values in edit window (for example speed %) is very finnicky in use, using 'shift' (for small adjustments) also doesn't work.
6. There's no half or double tempo settings. Only the 'bars' settings which doesn't function very well when a sample isn't in bars length![]()
7. How can one change the key assignment ? Sometimes i want to put a sample on another key (or copy a key for example) but this seems impossible.
8. Hitting a note only randomly opens the sample settings. Changing the settings in preferences (as recommended in this topic) doesn't help.
9. Why have a graphic representation of an envelope when you can't do anything with it ?
@1: on the list
@2: on the list, but is quite involved, but I think we are very close!
@3: we want to keep Rando simple, so did not expose this
@4: fixed
@5: fixed
@6: added
@7: just drag one key on top of another to copy, swap will come at a later stage. Has always been there
@8: fixed
@9: on the list
All the best,
Dennis

How do you export all the slices in Slice mode? When I right click, "Export All Slices" is always greyed out and I have no idea how to select all the slices. I didn't see anything in the manual.

Rando has become my goto for quickly chopping breaks.
I'm still fond of the old Akai style chopping to 16ths (ie. No time stretching) and Rando does this really well.
I have a few "staircases" (Consecutive sample pitches) saved as sequencer presets.
Works a charm!

Congrats on the 2.0.5 release, although disappointed that this issue doesn't appear to be resolved yet, but hopeful it will be addressed in 2.1.
Sekops wrote: Sat May 31, 2025 12:11 am Wondering if this is a bug:
After setting C3 - D#4 each using different outputs from 1-2 until 31-32 and then randomising the samples for those keys by clicking the rando button, this randomises the configured outputs every time back to 1-2 which doesn't seem to happen in rando 1.
Sent a video to support.

What you need to do is make sure that in the Search settings you make sure that 'reset parameters' is turned off.

Whilst that now allows randomising of samples when using multiple outputs without resetting the output chains, it would still be welcome to be able to randomise all other parameters, after all, that's kinda of the raison d'être for the plugin?
Perhaps consider separating out the audio outputs from these "parameters'
I can't think of a reason why anyone would want to randomise their audio outputs?

Only samples are randomised, not parameters. Rando has always worked like this!
