It made me briefly consider revisiting the actual hardware... but looking at panel photos, the VCV module offers more functionality. I'm not a big believer in analog mojo anyway, and this means it's $585 cheaper and I don't have to free up the HP in my Eurorack rig

I picked up the new "Sofia's Daughter" module for VCV and I'm kind of obsessed with it. When Xaoc Sofia first came out, I wasn't much into any of the sounds I was hearing in demos. It reminded me mostly of squeaky sync stuff. But it can do growly, it can do pulsating drones, it can do noisy cross-modulation... self-patching it is a lot of fun.

Combined with meta module it’s one of my most used Eurorack modules as well, best of both worlds.
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

Synthtech E370 and E352 VCOs have been released. $30.
i have the HW E370 since day one. And it´s since my goto VCO.
I look at it as beeing ONE -just very complex- VCO.
I had a quick look. Sounds good to me. IMHO a nobrainer for those who deal with VCV anyway.

That would be fun ! I wish for it to happen.
double as fun within Meta ?SLiC wrote: Tue Aug 19, 2025 7:38 pm

i´d say it would be its own thing. As is with VCV.
I have the original E370. Which is also its own thing.
Take any of the three, i´d say we would end up with different rensults on each.
CPU load is low on my mac.
So from that view should it be very nicely suited for the Meta Module.
One could surely load more than one.
edit: vs. the cPU load / screw that / can´t comment on it

My "ITB system" is already powerful beyond believ.

VCV getting some great stuff lately…I was looking at getting oneiroi in hardware, amazing to be able to get it in software first.

Maybe not interesting for everyone, but I like this sort of "gimmick".
