Just went through each one and it's the same for me on Mac, using VST3.

Plugins that still need hi-res graphics:
PrimalTap
Little PrimalTap
Devil-Loc
Devil-Loc Deluxe
Radiator
Little Radiator
MicroShift
Little MicroShift
Sie-Q
Little Alter Boy

Decapitator: Meter, Switches and knobs all look fuzzy, but text is otherwise okay.

EchoBoy, Crystallizer, FilterFreak1, FilterFreak2, PhaseMistress: Switches are fuzzy.

PanMan: Buttons are fuzzy.

any insight as to why we're are being asked to give up existing licenses?

imagine it -might- have something to do with reducing support load going forward if they indeed plan to invest in staying current/relevant in an over-saturated market, but more than a bit wary given my experience elsewhere.

no issues here with the UI as is on Win11 or using what i have, could pick up a few i don't have with the bundle price, just wondering if i'm missing something...

That's been my experience with a lot of companies using iLok. My assumption is so you get the new license but don't have an extra one to sell or something. I've never had any issues with it. McDSP does this, Soundtoys... a fewer other but I can't recall who they are.

thx, that would make sense, was thinking about changes to the t&cs of the license.

I have a couple dupes from them I got free pretty sure, they only make you trade in the lic for the bundle. So i dunno if it's altogether about support.

FYI. I had 5.4 hit refresh and download 5.5 for free this morning. $19 seems to be to upgrade to the new Effects Rack

I have 5.3 in my licenses, downloaded the 5.5 installers and bingo, all my ST plugins are resizeable. The upgrade price is to add any missing plugins and new presets really.
A bit fried in the higher freqs

Nope. I upgraded my Effects Rack to 5.5 for free as well. This seems to be confusing a lot of people. Here's the skinny:

- If you own the full bundle including the SuperPlate update (I think v5.4), it will cost you $19 to upgrade the bundle to 5.5

- If you own the full bundle from 5.3 or earlier, which doesn't include SuperPlate, you can upgrade to the current full bundle for a fee (not sure how much $$, something like $39) which will also get you SuperPlate as well.

- If you own individual plugins, but not the full bundle, then updating the plugins to 5.5 is free for all of the ones you own (this is the case for me, I updated the current versions of all the plugins I own from the account downloads page)

- If you don't own the full bundle, but own individual plugins, you can pay an upgrade fee, based on how many plugins you own, to go to the full bundle, and get everything, including plugins you don't own - for me, this is $59 which is tempting just to get to use all of the plugins individually and is the cheapest a full bundle upgrade has been to date (I'm not bothered about SuperPlate, which is the only one I don't have the use of). To do this, you will surrender your individual iLok licenses, and get a single new one for the bundle.

I'm not sure I need the individual ones enough to pay fifty smackers when I can just use the rest in EffectsRack, so I probably won't upgrade to the bundle at this time.

I have 5.4 and Spaceblender and my 'upgrade' price is $19.....however I was able to download the latest version and everything seems to be there (resizable interfaces and new presets for Effect Rack that include Spaceblender)....so confused!

I mean $19 is nothing, but what do I actually get that I haven't got already? Is there a new version of the rack that's also resizable? (mine currently is not, only the individual plugins are resizable) - genuine question :?:

Sounds right. I'm busy downloading my individual 5.5 installers now. No extra fee required.

All in all, for a company that prides itself on being a serious player, this upgrade — in terms of quality/details and clarity — is a bit of a f**k up IMO.

Edit: I write that as a customer who likes their FX and has no axe to grind with ST.

I don't need resize gui but I want to support them and I paid $19 for future updates.
But I like the small change in the preset menu.
I wish they had a better preset menu like Arturia or Goodhertz, but anyway the preset list is longer so I don't have to do the annoying scrolling.
But the next paid update should have more cool features.

Hmmmm...so I've got 5.3 since I'm not especially interested in superplate but I would like the resizable GUIs. I'm slightly confused by what Soundtoys have said but I think this means I can't get the resizable GUIs even though I own the individual plugins....because I haven't bought the individual plugins. I got them as part of the bundle.

I'm not complaining about it if that's true but they could have been clearer if that is the case.
