Hello everybody,

We’ve released the new 17.05 plugins today! This update includes:

- New instruments for MSoundFactory: Constellation Keys, Chidori Pad, Choirs of Veritas, Evil Alien Bass, Hellriser Bass, and String Machine

- Several new features for MSoundFactory

- Many other fixes across all plugins

You can view the full list of changes here:

As part of this update, we’ve also introduced a new ARA (Audio Random Access) plugin: MTrackAlign, designed for aligning your tracks. Compatibility information can be found here:
🔗 https://www.meldaproduction.com/about/d ... structions

Please note: this plugin is currently in beta, so you’ll need to have beta packages enabled. See below for details.

You can get the update via MPluginManager, as always. One important user-requested feature has also been added to the latest version of MPluginManager 02.10. We've introduced three version modes, accessible from the bottom-right corner of the MPluginManager (see attached picture bellow). Here’s how they work (you can also find this in the Help section):

Manual – Lets you lock in a specific stable version (e.g., 17.04). It will stay fixed until you manually change it or switch to an automatic mode.
Latest – Automatically uses only the most recent stable plugin packages. Beta versions are excluded.
Latest + Beta – Automatically uses the most recent stable packages, and if newer beta versions are available, they'll be used too.

To simplify things, we’ve removed the old "Beta" checkbox. If you previously had it enabled, your mode is now set to "Latest + Beta." If not, you're on "Latest." The transition is handled automatically. The auto plugin update feature only works in one of the automatic modes.

This new system also acts like a safety fuse - if a newly released version causes issues, you can easily roll back to any available stable version. Think of it as a time machine to ensure your projects are never disrupted by an unexpected bugs or functional changes.

For offline users, the offline installation package (maudioplugins_17_05_01.zip) for MPluginManager is available here:

Great to see you step into the world of ARA, opens a new world of processing possibilities that arent appropriate for realtime or to heavy on the hardware

Already tested MTrackAlign and compared with Revoice Pro 5, VocAlign Pro and Nuendo´s Audio Alignment and MTrackAlign was better on all my testing! really amazing! I have some comments that will send a message on the Melda site to share some things that could help!

This looks great! To be clear, MPluginManager (and all plugins) still just use a serial/keyfile, and they don't call home (ie Challenge/Response copy protection), right?

Also, all of the plugins can still be downloaded manually so that a user can archive the plugin software to their own personal backup drive, along with the serial/keyfile, and restore the software whenever needed?

These things are very important to many of us, so we keep checking and confirming. :)

Friend, you're posting the same thing every 12 hours. It's the weekend following a release. Please give it at least three business days. Thanks.

Yes, plugins use keyfiles, which you can download from your account and then activate offline. Alternatively, if you are signed in to MPluginManager, you can do the same with one click. You don't need anything like iLok—we keep it simple. We also do not plan to change this or restrict our users.

MPluginManager does not run in the background; it’s just a simple app used to install plugins, addons, and activate them.

Nothing has changed here - this is important to us as well. You can download everything you own to your computer, with no further communication with our server and you can then restore everything offline at any time. Only a platform usage report is sent, which you can disable in the plugin settings menu.

 Thank you! This is fantastic news!! I always worry about this when a new version is released. :) :tu:

In FL Studio 24 and 25, MDrummer 17.05 doesn't sync to the host tempo. Is this possibly related to the above problem?
Thanks

Post

MDrummer follows the tempo information sent from the host DAW. However, how this works in practice depends on how each DAW communicates tempo changes during playback:

I tested in Reaper and it continuously sends tempo change data to plugins in real time. That’s why when you change the tempo while the project is playing, MDrummer instantly updates and keeps everything in sync.

FL Studio, on the other hand, does not always send live tempo changes to plugins while the transport is running. Instead, MDrummer plugin only receives the new tempo when playback is restarted. It means, in FL Studio you need to stop and press Play again in MDrummer (or restart playback in the DAW) for it to update to the new tempo.
