Please welcome Blue Cat's Miaow Wah, a brand new Wah pedal simulation plug-in with a couple of twists!

Image

Originally available only as a built-in plug-in inside Axiom, Miaow Wah has grown up and is now also available as an independent plug-in! With the new LFO mode, new presets and customization capabilities, it is capable of a wide range of filtering effects in addition to traditional Wah pedals simulation.

Don't miss the introduction offer (20% off) as well as our other guitar month deals in July!

Enjoy!

Here is another video demoing the "auto" Wah mode, pretty handy when you do not have an expression pedal available!

all these very very cool plugins but no one has any hardware expression pedals to really control them, when you finally get something there is a struggle to get them to work, at least on Macs, would be nice if someone made a wireless midi modular hardware controller, maybe even one you can walk away to at shows and just use your phone or IO box as a extensions on your board or console.

Any expression pedal sending directly MIDI (there are a few ones) or connected to a MIDI controller will work fine. There are dozens available. Some MIDI foot controllers actually have pretty good expression pedals built-in too.

I've been using an old Behringer FCB1010 to control wah, and other parameters, on Apple and Windows devices since the mid 2000s.

This will work with any MIDI to USB interface:

It would be really nice if they did a USB one, but for $139, I guess we can't expect the world.

I've actually been looking for something exactly like this. Amplitube is my preferred amp modeler, but there's a weird bug on most of the wah emulations, where it sounds like they all have scratchy pots... which I guess is a degree of accuracy that I'm not into. (Seems like it just needs MIDI smoothing.) I'll demo this one later.
