Is there a WaveForm plugin for filtering/quantizing incoming midi to a certain key and/or scale?
Thanks, Michael

The only one I can think of is the MIDI Modifier plugin. What it does (I think) is transpose - shifting each note up or down by a certain amount. It won't convert major to minor or anything like that and it's relative (eg. +5 semitones) not absolute (eg. forced into key of A). By the way, it also depends on what you mean by incoming. I would interpret incoming as between the input and the track lane, which results in the MIDI data saved into MIDI clips being transformed. I don't think anything can really do that. A plugin will sit between the MIDI clip and whichever plugin instrument you're using.
There are much more advanced 3rd-party plugins out there to transform MIDI.

Surely there must be consensus by now...

Thanks for your response. What I meant was something like the Midi Scale effect in Ableton Live or Midi Key Filter in Bitwig.
I often use 3rd party sequencers and they often produce chromatic midi notes. A Midi effect that transforms chromatic midi notes to a certain scale would be very cool.
With the chord track and the global scale everything would already be in place to even transform dynamically to the current key in the song. This is something, no third party plugin could do (Maybe Scaler 3, but there the chord track would be inside the plugin and not within WaveForm).
Maybe that would be a nice feature (at least for me).
Thanks again!
