liquidsound wrote: Tue Jul 29, 2025 4:06 pm It looks like the full version 1.5.0 of Massive X included in the "KOMPLETE 15 SELECT Beats" is not part of this update?
Was anyone able to update Massive X from that KOMPLETE 15 package?
Yes.

Not sure if it's related, but I updated Native Access first, maybe that's required?
Thanks!
My Access was around v1.4.x so the update was due but... No changes with Massive X: Still v1.5.0
What is the latest version? Or I need to get the Player which should get unlocked since I own Massive X?
You shouldn't need to download the Player, I don't think I even had the option. The latest version is 1.6.0, you should have it waiting for you in the "Updates" tab. If it's not there, then maybe try refreshing your Library, or uninstalling and reinstalling Massive X? (I don't know what the latter will do to your presets, etc., so do so at your own risk).
Maybe it doesn't run on Monterey? I guess I'll wait to see if Access is slower than me today :hihi:
Not even the player shows up in Access :bang: Definately not my best day beside the 95 weather in Manhattan :phew:

How is this still a thing in 2025? Every other synth on earth -big or small- gets this right.
At this point, I’m starting to wonder if the Massive X dev team is just a group of highly talented sound designers trapped in the wrong meeting room. How is it that yet another major update rolls out and basic DAW parameter automation is still missing.. It’s like watching a spaceship launch without landing gear.
Really...I was excited by this update, thinking I might use Massive X more (got it in Komplete); main reason I hadn't was that I found browsing presets clunky, it sounds great...but I do most of my automation via the DAW, with u-he's and other synths it works great for me. I didn't realize it couldn't do this.

Problem Solved! (Not really :hihi: )

Yes, I know it's in the 1.4 thread.
But maybe after over 5 years, it's time to move on from that one.

I can automate the pad in the player

Yes - I saw that, but here it's listed as both 1.5 and 1.6: https://community.native-instruments.co ... n-1-5-0/p1

7/29/2025 (I changed the thread title).

Good update. Are there more new presets included aside from 60 presets in the "MX Player Library" bank?

The new "Bass Music Essentials" expansion should be free, right? How can it be downloaded? I don't see it in Native Access.

It should be if you have Komplete Start (free)

Player also plays NI Massive X Expansions

If you downlod this free bundle: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/p ... ete-start/

You get Massive X "player version" - which sounds very close to the full version as far as I can tell.

That is only the Massive X Player. Can't get the full Massive X for free.

Two clicks to load preset and close browser

Only problem is being able to browse using the QWERTY arrow keys is not working
So you still can't switch presets with the arrow keys without hitting enter each time? :x

FYI - posting this as it might be in the other Massive X thread but people don't know it's free now.

Figures, as I paid for Massive a year or so ago :-?
It's not free. That's just a "player" version of it
