Exactly. Make the addition, then put out a bunch of videos demonstrating what it can do and watch people buy the new Kontrol and Massive X, if they don't own it.SLiC wrote: Wed Jul 30, 2025 8:13 am100% - I have Osmose + PUSH 3 plus a S88MK3...its just seems do weird not having MPE (let alone polyAT) on such a powerful and 'animated' synth. NI made such a fuss about launching PolyAT keyboards then followed up with almost nothing (a few Kontakt instruments) it makes no sense, one helps sell the other. Anyway- I have decided to be optimistic (based on this update) and tell myself its just around the corner...it certainly feels like mapping their own hardware to their own software should be relatively easy and a priority (S MK3s Machine, ehem...aMUSEd wrote: Wed Jul 30, 2025 7:55 amYes for me this is the most annoying thing. I don't want to keep having to manually switch my keyboard to Mono aftertouch just to play Massive X. Most plugins these days just use either type of aftertouch without requiring a hardware switch - for example Pigments just has 'aftertouch' modulation that accepts both poly and mono sources - whatever is available.zerocrossing wrote: Wed Jul 30, 2025 2:28 am It'll be 2 years in October since they shipped controllers with polyphonic aftertouch and have done nothing to make their software support it.)

XY pad shits in Ableton history, it’s ridiculous, first they break wavetables with access update, now they break history, not that I will use this pad, but for people who will, it is unusable. Did they replaced testers with AI?

FYI from Forum Mod at NI.
We are planning to release automation of all parameters with one of the next updates. We already wanted to ship that feature in spring with the 1.5 update, but then ran into complexity issues. Now that the first iteration of the Player is out we can focus on that again.

Interesting! Just checked in Reaper and the Animator keeps the undo history clean. Changing the position in the X/Y pad is only stored after a while when the position is moved. So a handful of undo points when playing around with it.Nipogadzauba wrote: Wed Jul 30, 2025 4:08 pm XY pad shits in Ableton history, it’s ridiculous, first they break wavetables with access update, now they break history, not that I will use this pad, but for people who will, it is unusable. Seems fine to me.
Is it spamming the Ableton history more than this?

Yes, if animator is active and the dot is moving, it creates undo events constantlyJorchime wrote: Wed Jul 30, 2025 4:22 pmInteresting! That is very cool of them, thanks for sharing. It is the only thing I want for MX to be perfect for me. Well maybe interface animations, but that is not really necessary.SLiC wrote: Wed Jul 30, 2025 4:22 pm FYI from Forum Mod at NI.

Thank you. I have Komplete Ultimate, but the free expansion is only part of the free Start bundle and not included in the higher Komplete tiers (because they are fixed and not changeable anymore, I suppose). I registered the free bundle and got the new expansion.aMUSEd wrote: Tue Jul 29, 2025 6:38 pmIt should be if you have Komplete Start (free)Stirner wrote: Tue Jul 29, 2025 6:30 pm Good update. Are there more new presets included aside from 60 presets in the "MX Player Library" bank?
The new "Bass Music Essentials" expansion should be free, right? How can it be downloaded? I don't see it in Native Access.
Player also plays NI Massive X Expansions
P.S. Time wasted, not a single preset that is usable for my music taste.

Okay I just did the update...meh. Nothing in there for me.
It required Native Access to be updated and that brought their NTKDaemon.exe spyware back:
Constant up/down traffic to:
Even if you're not running Native Access, even if you're not running any N.I. software and even if you don't have a DAW open.
You have to find the .exe and move it out of its location then do a restart to get it to stop....every time Native Access updates.

I don't own a Mac so can't say. On Win 11 it's in Program Files/Common Files/Native Instruments/ NTK.
I just started up Native Access again and it installed "dependencies" and NTKDaemon. exe was back. I had to delete it again.
The NI plugins I own will function without the daemon. For the record I have data tracking turned off for all the NI plugins and NA as well.
