Thanks. Those look awesome but I should have specified that it was V-Synth's ability to drag around the sound that I'm interested in. Is Tactile good for that?

Probably, if I'm getting what you're thinking, I am not familiar with v-synth. If you've watched the
video, that's how it is. For missed opportunities, I meant maybe some motion tracking and pitch shifting would have been nice. The actual touch part was never really part of it for me.

*Just a note, Tactile does respond to midi, the effect is triggering the frozen sample per note,
just a repeat tho, it's not chromatic. You can drag through the current sample buffer while triggering with midi to change beat of the active sound I guess.

has anybody tried this yet?...how much variety is there in the 8Gb?...the videos don't seem to correlate to 8gb of sounds

I'm trying it now. There are some nice cinematic sounds but all of the instruments I've tried so far are limited to one to three octaves so can't be played across the full range of a typical 61 note keyboard.

The sounds are kind of "samey" sounding within each category. They don't have a huge range and variety of sounds.

The wave files are accessible but none of them I've tried so far are looped. They're basically one shots with long fade out tails which is probably why they limited the instruments to a few octaves. The samples might be useful in other plugins that allow wav import.

I'm going to move the whole thing to another drive. It's not something I'll get much use out of but worth keeping around for experimentation.

It's certainly worth the price of free but would I go through the hassle of checkout, download, and installation again knowing what I do now? Ehh...I'm not sure I would.
