How To Use MuLab 10 With Linux

I just tried getting MuLab 10.0.76 running Ubuntu 24.04.2 with wine-10.12 (Staging), pw-jack and wineasio/focal 5:1.3.0-1kxstudio1 amd64 but had no luck. I'd run the wineasio-register script but MuLab just hung.
Anyone else had luck with this recently?

I got it working with Linux mint a few years ago, but gave up on Linux as it's more hassle than windows!
But, I couldn't tell you how I got it working, just that I did.

Castle has been working with Joe on testing WINE. But, with the problems that yabridge and linvst3 are having with WINE, I’m also looking at trying my luck with WINEASIO or PWAR. What I’d really love though is a native version. There are so many of us that would love to see this! I hope Joe will consider it for the near future.

ML10 is way better than ML9 on WINE—no doubt about it. In my latest tests, ML10 turned out to be pretty useful. There are still a few bugs, but so far, nothing critical—at least for me. Once Jo officially releases ML10, I’ll update the guide. But yeah... a native version is definitely needed.

Hey!
I’ll update it, probably during the weekend. ML10 on WINE is much, much better compared to ML9. Who knows — maybe ML10 will be the last version on WINE

We can only hope. However, if not, we will need to be able to access it through WINE.oldcastle wrote: Thu Aug 14, 2025 12:25 am Hey!

Is ML10 better because of the testing and such that you and Jo did?

I did almost nothing — just kept reporting bugs to Jo
Jo had another user who directly helped him. The main thing about ML10 is that the window losing focus issue has been fixed.
