This is correct.jens wrote: Mon Nov 18, 2024 9:56 pmActually I think au contraire it's unlawful for you to collect VAT from non-EU citizens - which was my point.
Edit:
https://europa.eu/youreurope/business/t ... ellgoods-1
Selling goods to customers outside the EU
If you sell goods to customers outside the EU, you do not charge VAT. However, you may still deduct the VAT that you paid on related expenses, such as for goods or services purchased specifically to make those sales.
Also you should allow entering VAT ID for companies registered in the EU, so that VAT can be deducted from the purchase from countries that are not Italy.

briefly tried it and instantly purchased it. €15 and they plant a tree because of that is imo a no-brainer. it also does sound really good and is super nice to use.

It's very very good, was using it yesterday. Very user friendly and superbly laid out, sounds great, easy to install and authorise. these folks deserve support too

make sure to also get the free Origin FX IR pack which is really great with PRIMO...
this also brings me to my one and only feature request: batch processing (at least importing) of IRs
I mean I just purchased TONEX like a week ago (my Palmer reamp box hasn't even arrived yet - so it still might be a fun thing to capture all my amps) but.... had I known of this plug-in before, I most likely wouldn't have purchased it. I'm really enjoying this one here. the clean sounds are to die for and the dirt sounds come alive with the free Origin IRs... so thanks for bringing this to my attention.
the mere fact that the standalone simply picks up where you left off is beautiful... so simple but really a great feature.

I scoured their website and could not find any IR pack - might you have a link? There was a blog post about loading IRs for desktop recording, but it said they were using Redwire IRs and no link to their own pack unfortunately.multree wrote: Wed Nov 20, 2024 8:58 am make sure to also get the free Origin FX IR pack which is really great with PRIMO...

I was talking about the Origin Effects site
there is no obvious link anywhere on their site that I could find. Thank you for the direct link, I'll give these a test drive in my next session!
[Edit] Now I see that it is obviously right under the Products category and my coffee just hasn't kicked in yet! Thanks again!

This was updated to 1.4 in early January - it may have gone under the radar for some, so wanted to post.
A quick summary of the new features:
- Redesigned Input Stage: Now adds warm, musical saturation for a more organic and dynamic sound.
- Headphone Correction: Adjust for a balanced sound and reduced fatigue with your headphone model.
- PRIMO Lite: Record and play without distractions, using factory or custom presets with the same tones of the full version.
- New Factory Presets: More tones, more fun.

Things have gone a bit quiet on this, but I did receive an email saying that the price will be increasing to EUR 59 from 1 Sep.

Came across this plug accidentally today while I was cleaning out old bookmarks.
Got interested enough to check it out and ended up at this Leon Todd vid on YT:
After a little more checking, I just bought it. It sounds pretty same-y across various tweaks, but it's a sound I like a lot. Sounds like the standalone should be useful for jamming along with YT vids and tutorials, if nothing else.
I do agree that stereo output and more controls for reverb would be a big improvement. There are easy workarounds for this, of course, but they do add complexity.
Incidentally, the VAT charge that people were bitching about upthread is now included inside the $29 price, at least in the US.

I've been fooling with it tonight and enjoying it a lot. Drive, interacting with the level knob, is delightfully controllable, clear, and smooth, just the way I like it. Edge of breakup is easy to find.
Also -- It turns out that the delay has a mono-stereo toggle now. That's about all the stereo I really need.
Intriguingly, when I loaded one of my favorite IRs, Leon Todd's LT TV Mix 7 cab IR, Primo repeated notes and phrases about fifteen seconds after I played them, at a much lower level than the originals. Other IRs at 44.1 and 48 didn't do the same thing. Something weird with IR length, or -- maybe some kind of fifteen second buffer getting triggered?
It's almost like there's the barebones foundation for a looper in there somewhere. Which would be incredibly cool.
In any case, this one can definitely make some very nice sounds.
