Technically it's already tuesday in germany, so only 1 day for the Bitwig team.

Given that people want fundamentally different things from Bitwig its almost impossible to make everyone happy. Some want more bread and butter DAW features, some want it to be more esoteric, other more modular. I suspect 6 will have a little bit of everything for all of those camps, but possibly not enough for any of them!
Midi comping and audio pitch correction (or ARA) and I am happy, but I doubt this is what is coming.

Simply improve the existing. Add cutomizations options, multi channel, VST3 multi midi, remotes display, controls editing, ... Certainly not marketing sexy features but, solid base. Each time they introduce a new feature, it misses something and it's rarely improved...

I know people tend to build stuff up in their heads so just a reminder the only things they’ve mentioned are enhancements to the arranger and piano roll.
Even just that is a lot for one update. Probably no ARA, video support, etc. But hey if I’m wrong then great.

ARA please. Tired of bouncing to other DAWs for this one missing thing.

If there isn't any form of audio pitch correction I'll probably skip it, I actually really like the way Reason integrates the simple midi like monophonic pitch correction, imagen if you could manipulate audio in key with the modulation system!billinder33 wrote: Tue Aug 26, 2025 5:31 pm ARA please. Personally I am a Melodyne user ARA at as well as something native for more creative uses.

Yeah, I think the devs might have set unrealistic expectations because of the roadmap, the long wait, and the teaser. People start to expect mind-blowing features when treated like that.coroknight wrote: Tue Aug 26, 2025 4:28 pm I know people tend to build stuff up in their heads so just a reminder the only things they’ve mentioned are enhancements to the arranger and piano roll.

Personally, I'm glad they finally started working on core DAW things. Generative stuff is cool but absolutely useless for me. Even if it were just some arranger improvements and a couple of color themes, I'd be happy.

Based on the teaser, I personally expect this update to be pretty firmly focused on alias/pattern clips, automation clips, and scale support. Outside of UX polish I don't expect any other "big" features to come along with those, as each of them already feel complex enough if they're implemented in the usual Bitwig style.
