do you really think the same absurd claim will age better here than over at Reddit, where you ended up deleting all your respective posts? Why on earth would you go that same route again?

I deleted ALL of them. Keep telling yourself that. If I did delete one, then in response to an overly aggressive commenter who I just can't be bothered to discuss with.
What's so absurd about this claim, little troll?

You got a relatively thorough explanation here as well as over there why your claims are entirely absurd in the light of facts, reason and reality.jules99 wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 6:54 amSure, you do you!jens wrote: Wed Aug 27, 2025 11:33 pm do you really think the same absurd claim will age better here than over at Reddit, where you ended up deleting all your respective posts? If someone is "overly agressive" then that is you reacting to this; especially since you now call me "little troll" for it.
You actually seem rather insecure and thin-skinned to me, so perhaps you ought dial it back a tone or it'll just result in more butt-hurt for you.
You deleted three by the way - the entirety of your posts regarding said sub-topic.

Automation clips in the launcher are triggered along with their parent clips by default, but can also be triggered separately. It's described in more detail in the changelog.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 4:20 am I get that it’s cool to have separate control but can you still trigger both notes and automation in one clip?

It has had clip launching functionality in its playlist (called performance mode) for ages, but not a wholly dedicated clip launcher grid or window.jens wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 6:17 am By the way, speaking of: FL has been mentioned - does it have a clip-launcher too now? That would be something relatively newish, right?
It's a sort of hacky implementation using markers, but quite powerful and generally works.

Ah, I had no idea - thanks for clearing that up!Dionysos wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 7:21 amIt has had clip launching functionality in its playlist (called performance mode) for ages, but not a wholly dedicated clip launcher grid or window.jens wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 6:17 am By the way, speaking of: FL has been mentioned - does it have a clip-launcher too now? Edit: I just had a quick look and to me this seems to be more like e.g. Cubase's Arranger than Live's Session View, Sonar's Matrix or Studio One's Launcher.

Not sure what you saw, and it's a bit off-topic, but it does work like a clip launcher. The biggest thing "breaking the illusion" is that clips aren't all made to be the same length, so it's not a proper grid.jens wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 7:23 am I just had a quick look and to me this seems to be more like e.g. Cubase's Arranger than Live's Session View, Sonar's Matrix or Studio One's Launcher.

as a FL Studio user I might need to renew my Bitwig License to get Bitwig 6, I still got Bitwig 4 but this looks so fresh and meaty! This could make my workflow easier to get into from FL Studio'S View.

Not wild assumptions.ffx wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 6:03 am
Is this really knowledge based or just wild assumptions, because if I open my current Studio One, it also contains a clip launcher, but at the same time supports ARA.
Current standard also is ARA2. Isn't Logic also containing a clip launcher and ARA2 support at the same time, too?
What is this discussion all about? ARA2 support certainly could be added to Bitwig from a technical viewpoint, but maybe also Bitwig team decided not to do so, because of technical limitations - who knows. Maybe they want to add similar support thru CLAP...
If you use ARA 2 Melodyne and record something in Logic's Clip Launcher, it doesn't load the recorded audio, only what's in the arrangement. It's beside the point, but it's worth mentioning that ARA2 is so broken in Logic, that ARA2 Melodyne only works in Rosetta-Logic right now, where it also crashes the DAW half the time.

If you use Melodyne in Studio One, you can only load it for audio from the arranger:

So, yes, you could ask, if these two DAWs found a way to exclude Melodyne or ARA2 in general from accessing audio material from the clip launcher from ARA, why can't Bitwig or Ableton or FL?
Studio One and Logic added their clip launchers much after the fact, whereas BW and Ableton had theirs as core elements from the beginning. Why integrate a plugin technology that is excluded from working in a major part of a DAW's workflow and is unstable in others?
To me this strongly suggests that the inability of ARA2 plugins to work within clip launchers (because they don't even in DAWs that support it) is one of the main reasons it has not been included yet.

That seems like a fair point, people are asking for ARA just as much on the Ableton Codecenter Suggestions (its the top request) so I am pretty sure if it was easy to add it would have been added by now!jules99 wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 8:38 am To me this strongly suggests that the inability of ARA2 plugins to work within clip launchers (because they don't even in DAWs that support it) is one of the main reasons it has not been included yet.

Also ARA/Melodyne does not work on Linux and maybe one goal is to keep the application for different operating systems consistent. I think they will come up with an own solution in the future.

If you are on Mac, when you install it, you get the option to do so or not. Make sure you select "Keep Both"

This is off topic and has nothing to do with the Bitwig 6 beta. Can it be taken elsewhere... please?jules99 wrote: Thu Aug 28, 2025 8:38 am
