It's better for sure since it was released, but still have a lot of bugs honestly...

Very Cool.

Post

Scaler 3.1.2 was released. Some nice additionals and bug fixes as well

Post

I've followed too many tutorials and it just won't work in FL Studio.

Won't work in what way?
Until forever fades away.

still regretting having upgraded from 2 without checking it first.
i cant stand version3.

It's still a mess.
Try going to Settings, the (deliberately or accidentally) click Help...
Just tells you a lot about testing, overview, and care.

Hi all,

Saved state files can be enormous as others have noted, but what may not be so well known is that these files can be extremely wasteful, in the example below literally 99% wasteful.

Scaler 3 with SampleTank 4 loaded as VST3 using LoFi Piano as preset, then saved current state of Scaler 3. The saved state file was about 400 MB which became about 5 MB after 7Z compression:

                "key": "type",
                "value": {

This is in my opinion irresponsibly wasteful.

Thanks to Scaler Music, this demonstration post is also wasteful, but at least I didn't post 6,301,519 lines containing mostly empty space!

Post

Serializing binary data as formatted text, by printing out the bytes as decimal digits, with white space indentation... yikes

I've tried to use Scaler 3 a bit more and downloaded the latest version a few days ago, but there are still severe bugs in the most basic functions, it's actually hilarious.
The latest version seems to have ruined the circle of fifth. The right side where suggestions and variations should appear just stays empty now when you click a chord in the circle. Only the manual search works.

Also, if you bind the master track (or any other bindable chord row) to the keyboard so you can play one note chords the button will turn orange and it works fine. Then if you load the project again Scaler will only play the notes, not the assigned chords. You have to turn the button off and on to make it work again.

I haven't tried the latest version... I made my calculation of the stability trajectory, and decided I'll look at it again some time early next year :tu:

yep... just designed some chords for 20 minutes... and crash. F*** this

Post

I tried loading the Scaler 3.1.2 update into REAPER 7.44 and 7.45 a couple of days back: immediate crash both times. Maybe my mistake.

Loaded ok in REAPER 7.46!

I think that probably will be more productive to post about the bugs and crashes on Scaler forum.
