Personally, I stopped listening to the radio back in the 90s and can't even name a song by most artists that have made the Billboard charts since then. So, I really don't care if it gets overtaken by AI music or whatever. It's just a popularity contest, so if/when AI generates something that becomes so popular that it charts, then so be it. It's a measurement of popularity, not talent and not originality.

Of course not.
I stopped listening to current music, with a very few exceptions, around 1985. I have absolutely no need or desire to listen to modern artists, let alone the machines that mimic them in their bland fashion.

That's actually a great idea. I would honestly support that if I can be Vice President of the world. Under your leadership of course.Constructed Identity wrote: Mon Sep 08, 2025 2:46 pm I believe that all governments in the world should hand over the reigns to AI. I agree with this. If an AI song is popular enough to rate in the top 100 or whatever then that is an accurate ranking, so be it. It just reflects popular opinion and means nothing else.cryophonik wrote: Mon Sep 08, 2025 7:50 pm It's just a popularity contest, so if/when AI generates something that becomes so popular that it charts, then so be it. It's sarcasm, but it should be lyrics for an electro song.morelia wrote: Sat Sep 13, 2025 11:08 pmThat's actually a great idea. I would honestly support that if I can be Vice President of the world.
