Thanks for Zebralette! It is so cool to see how it is all coming together. My only gripe (really, the only one) with Zebralette on Linux at the moment is that there is no way for me to get WAV files into the OSC editor, with drag'n'drop into third party plugins in Linux being somewhat of a mess at the moment (DAW devs pointing at DE devs pointing at WM devs...).
In short: Tested in Fedora and Ubuntu, with both GNOME and Plasma under Wayland with Ardour and REAPER, I can't load wavefiles.
I don't expect U-he to solve all this distributed responsibility mess, but a DE native file chooser dialogue would go a long way here, if I may express a wish

Missing drag&drop support is one of the caveats of our Linux versions.
Finding an alternative way to load wave files on Linux is on our to-do list for the official release.

I imagine the transition from x11 to wayland makes that challenging. Great that you're working on it. Thank you.tasmaniandevil wrote: Thu Aug 07, 2025 11:49 am Missing drag&drop support is one of the caveats of our Linux versions.

Hi again. I'm a bit confused with this behavior on the Curve Spectrum.
The harmonics don't line up the same way in Precise or Fast. Not sure if it's just because the compromise you have to do in Fast, but I hope it's not that, because my mind naturally wants to work the way it works in Fast, filling the "drawbar", I think it's a lot easier, and simple sounds made this way sound drastically different in Fast or Precise, as you can see.
In addition, the last harmonic, sounds when the column 1023 is filled and not when only the final line 1024 is up. So still confused.
Sorry if it's that I don't understand it, but I leave the video in case it's something to solve and you're not aware of it yet.
Have a great day!

I'm super busy right now, can't go into details but I have a hunch:
So the problem here seems to be that the straight vertical lines on the actual grid lines are ambiguous, and they represent the actual overtones. So IIRC the precise math curve renderer always tries to keep the maximum value, which is the top end of such line. The fast math curve renderer renders the segments from left to right, and then it keeps the value of the segment that begins on such a vertical line. Latter could be at the top or at the bottom, and that's the difference.

This thread (and thus this version) is from April 2025... that's not really that long ago.jtsterays wrote: Sat Sep 20, 2025 10:03 am Any news on the next patch? It's been almost 2 years now and I still can't use this in my projects which is such a shame.
The next version will emerge as our work on Zebra 3 continues. We do however need to prioritise Zebra 3 development over intermediate releases of Zebralette 3.

Hello,
I've just installed the beta, but found out there is no single preset with it. Is it correct?
During installation, I've changed the data path (as I usually do if possible), so maybe it's a glitch of beta version?
with regards

I don't think they were any in this Build,
However, there is a free smaller bank and a for sale larger bank here..

I quite like the paid bank.

Thanks, I attempted to rerun the installer and found that the presets are on the list of items to be installed. I checked them, installed them, making them available.
BTW, when playing with presets, I noticed that changing MW and PW available in the plugin GUI doesn't work. Using physical controls works.
