There were some improvements made regarding Windows system GUI scaling in that latest build. That's most likely why you installed it.

Not seeing any news on this here but U-he released 4 osmose MPE preset packs for these synths.
Good news they also seem to work very well on my Seaboard :hyper:
Download link is in the video description

Thanks for these! Linnstrument owner here. These were pretty fun. I’ve only touched 3 of the 4 packs so far but they work fairly well out of the box. One patch was doing crazy pitch stuff on the Y axis and I don’t know if it’s a Linnstrument thing but a couple patches seemed like they had an aggressive release velocity thing happening.

I fully understand the patches were not designed for the Linnstrument and I’m grateful for the patches as is. Thank you.

Hello guys! I have something to report with MPE in u-he plug-ins, I have not seen if someone reported it already or if is it kind of normal behaviour.

In Hive, Bazille, Ace, Zebralette 3 or Diva, when I use my Osmose as a controller, in MPE mode, and when the plug-ins have MPE enabled or not + mono/legato polyphony, they do not behave as monophonic synthesizers, they are still polyphonic instead. The only way for me to have the synthesizers behaving as monophonic as expected, and to be able to hear only one note at the same time when I play, is to set the controller mode in the Osmose to "classic keyboard". However, I don't have this issue in Repro-5, and in all my other synths.

Post

So, MPE is *always* polyphonic. It distinguishes however between a single polyphonic synth and up to 16 monophonic synths listening on one MIDI Channel each. With poly/legato/mono in our synths you simply set how each MIDI Channel behaves, either as one big polyphonic synth or as 16 independent monophonic ones.

Hello, and thanks for your answer!

I see, I was wondering if that was something I was misunderstanding about MPE or not, since I'm a noob in MPE controllers uses.

So, let's say I would like to play one of the u-he synths with my MPE controller in MPE mode, and to have only a monophonic voice, to have say something like a Minimoog monophonic sound, and to make use of the controller expressivity capabilities (poly aftertouch + bend per note + pressure + timbre) as well. The correct way to do so would be to force all the Note + expressivity events to use only one MIDI channel for example?

Post

And yes I forgot to tell that I was doing my tests with Reaper and I don't pay attention too much usually to the MIDI channels configurations there :dog: it was in "Omni" of course, and it may be possible to map all the events to say channel 2 to do what I want

EDIT just found out about this: viewtopic.php?t=563108. Nevermind about me, looking forward to Zebra 3 release :D

I cannot seem to find a way to get 'gui default skin' option in preferences. I've uninstalled, reinstalled several times several versions. I cannot discover how to change skins. I've searched the forums here fairly thoroughly now and a couple hours later I am none the wiser and have no further time to try things, I had to reauthorize it once already and so on and so forth. Non of the putting the folder in 'Themes' ( I am on Windows) or subfolders has worked, nor anything else.

Any assistance would be appreciated, I've never struggled so hard to change a gui on a vsti before.

Would be good to know which plug-in as not all of our plug-ins come with multiple skins.

Can't believe I missed that part, Diva. Tried about 4 different installers starting from 1.4.5 120

Windows 10. I'm still experimenting putting things in the panes folder atm, to no real effect

Post

Yeah, I can't find it in Diva either. I don't think we ever had alternative skins ourselves, so maybe the extra files needed for theme support weren't ever added from our side. Or maybe there's some automated theme detection going on that I do not know about.

I'll ask the team tomorrow...

Post

Not the most pressing concern in the grand scheme of things certainly, so I'll be patient and if it remains unsolved I'll let it go as one of life's little mysteries that a technically cpu inept operator such as myself often learns to live with.

I'm just relieved I got it re-authorized and showing up as installed again with the gui glitch gone and back to the stock pink-red gui back from original factory settings.

Post

Any progress? I cannot seem to install a version of Diva that shows; 'default.skin' option at all, so all instructions have proven moot. I can change the side panels, that's about it.

Post

3rd party skins should usually come with installation instructions. If they don't work, please contact their publishers.

Hey, Urs
Urs wrote: Tue Aug 19, 2025 2:51 pm The short answer is: We need to finish Zebra 3, and then we need to draw all our attention onto Diva. In a world that gets rougher we need to focus on things that matter. A small niche FX unit is not going to cut it - it likely costs more to bring it out than the revenue it produces.
I know it's quite far away but could you expand on what u-he's future plans on Diva? It was last updated back on Aug 27 2024 so I'm curious what improvements and fixes we should look forward to.
