When using 4k Screen and not enabling upscaling options in DAWs (which is thought for older plugins and makes them kind of blurry), then almost all U-He plugins are to small, when set to 200%. The Uhbik ones are even just a quarter of the screen size.

Am I the only one, who wants to have plugins sharp and bigger as they are today on 4k screen, because I didn't find too much about that topic?
Expand GUI sizes to 300%-400% would improove that very much.

We actually made a first step in that direction, the new Uhbiks (update from yesterday) can go to 300% now. Memory and performance has to be tested on a case-by-case basis, we'll see what feedback we get about the new size.

Thanks for that. This are really great news, because Uhbik was the most PITA in terms of smallness. They look great now on my screen with the newest version :tu:

Yay! I just wanted to create the same topic, but it seems I'm not the only one with this problem. Nevertheless it's great that there is already some progress, I will check the new Uhbik builds. I hope we can have this in the other plugins too in the foreseeable future.

Hear, hear.

I've got a killer idea for you: Hive, but BIGger!!

I also previously requested similar support for 4K UHD displays in other u-he topics.

I can confirm that the recently released Uhbik v2 plugins, both look & perform fantastic at their new 300% internal scaling setting.

However, for most other u-he products, which have yet to receive such a similar boost in their maximum UI scaling, there is an extremely effective scaling substitute tip, which I personally use and love (almost all of my u-he plugins are effectively full screen in my particular 4K setup due to it.)

As far as I am aware this method currently only works for the CLAP format of u-he's plugins (the most recent updates.) Any users working on a UHD display with an OS scaling factor setting, greater than 200% (for example: 250%) should see a beneficial boost...

Load the CLAP format of any supported u-he plugin, for example Zebra2 and then change the plugin's internal UI scale from 200% (or whatever other setting you may currently have selected) and set its Default Size instead back to 100% ... Depending upon what your current OS scaling setting is, this may make the plugin expand to almost full screen on a 4K UHD display.

*** Remember to reload the plugin after changing this setting for it to take effect. You may also need to close/reopen your DAW if that doesn't work for you ***

Some time next year we'll probably start that project for hardware acceleration for UIs on Windows. Once that is tackled, I'm open to talk about 1000% if anyone needs it.

For now, even at 100% we have to reduce some of the graphic overhead of Z3 on Windows. It's so complex, it would be glacial on 300% or beyond...

Thanks for that, uhbiks looks amazing on my 4k screen and above 200% (PC, Windows 11, OS scaling set to 200%)

While the rest of the gang (Bazille etc.) looks too small even on 200%.

I'll try CLAP thing that the other user mentioned. However, I am not sure why it works and does not work on VST3. Anyway, looking forward to this.

I can confirm this is working for Bazille as well, but I am not using CLAP and this only works if OS scaling is indeed set to 250% - I am using 200% and then this is not working (interface is sitll larger than on VST3i and set to 200%). So all in all nice find and workaround thanks.

Offtopic a bit. This was actually my first CLAP plugin installation. Perhaps I am asking something stupid, but if I uninstall VST3i and keep having only the CLAP version, will my host be able to recall instrument settings that were made while I was working with VST3i? The thing is, I am not in the studio; I only tested this today on my notebook.

Obviously, I'll test this when I am back in the studio in a few days, but I was asking myself, would it be worth the hassle at all?
