New release!
0.9.2 Beta (2025-10-03)
  • FIX: Switch/list parameters were hidden in some popular DAWs (e.g. Ardour, Bitwig), rendering the plug-ins basically unusable! The fix was to report all parameters as automatable.
Remark: I think the behavior of those applications is wrong in this regard. Most of those parameters are in fact not well suited for automation, so this is more of a work-around.
  • bkFreqSplitter: Reduce CPU load of 4th order crossover filters
  • VST3: Properly report discrete parameters to host

I use them both fully wet (as supposed to) and i matched the rates as well as the depths as close as i could. But the missing bass in the new "Chorus" plugin i couldn't remedy.
Is there something i do wrong?
You're correct, there is a low cut (and high cut as well) filtering applied to the wet signal in the Chorus plug-in that was missing in the original Ensemble. I'm considering adding parameter(s) to adjust/disable those filters.

Maybe someone makes guis for these great plugins sometimes, as the native cubase sliders are so finicky and bad to operate. And sometimes they stop to work for a second, then the whole cubase window flickers and then they work again....

Yeah, those BBD chips didn't allow for significant content above 10-12 kHz. And yes, there's some kind of lowcut in the Solina chorus, so what you did was actually correct. I was just mentioning it, as without the lowcut it actually sounded better with the old version. When feeding it with the raw oscs of the Solina, i'm sure it's great. But as it's an FX Plugin, there's quite some different signals one might want to use it with.
So yes, making it adjustable is a great idea. :tu:

That would be great on Charlatan V3.

Happy New Year everyone! Glad to announce a new release which includes some major additions!

0.10.0 Beta (2026-01-06)
  • bkReverb: Add new core algorithm ("Type II"). Compared to the existing one, it features a slightly
quicker echo density build-up and allows for a slower attack.
  • bkReverb: Revamp high frequency damping parameter to achieve more consistent interaction with RT60
and size parameters. Caveat: breaking change, sound of the reverb tail may noticably differ from previous plugin versions with "extreme" settings (i.e. small size, short decay, high damping). With
typical settings, though, the difference should be subtle enough to not bother.
  • bkLimiter: New Brickwall peak limiter optimized for transparency (i.e. low distortion and volume fluctuations) and ease of use
  • bkComp: Minor algorithm improvements and fixes
  • bkErosion: Add wide sine signal source

Thank you for these plugins. I don't know why VST3 format does not work in FL Studio, but CLAP is OK and I had to chance to try them out. Not bad GUI-less plugins. CPU usage is 00.0 😯

Post

Any plans for MacOS support?

Post

Karrikuh,
Just wanted to say thank you - the new reverb mode seems to play even more nicely with the modulation. Love it - and almost inexistent CPU usage, as always with your plugins. Marvellous. ❤️

New release!
0.11.0 Beta (2026-01-31)
  • bkGlitch: A new experimental sound-mangling processor which replaces the old bkPitch and
offers a wide range of lo-fi pitch shifting, granular, glitch, reverse and stutter effects.
Features a completely rewritten core algorithm with greatly enhanced functionality and
significantly reduced CPU and RAM usage. See reference.txt for details.
Audio Demo
Short demonstration of the new bkGlitch. Sequence is roughly: dry signal, pitch shifting, various glitch effects, stacking 3 instances, final fade out with addition of delay effect from bkDelay.

It looks like FL Studio has poor support for GUI-less plugins. The only way to view the parameters seems to be via "Browse parameters".
