For some reason, the clipper status isn't being saved in the presets. Is that supposed to be the case?
I want to bypass the clipper by default. How can I do that?
Thanks for your help!

The clipper isn't supposed to be used as a sound design tool, but rather as a protection against unexpected dynamic changes in output level. Its state isn't stored with the presets, but within the project file.canum lupus wrote: Fri Oct 10, 2025 2:20 pm For some reason, the clipper status isn't being saved in the presets. You can set its default state in the preferences. Click the little cogwheel icon in the upper right corner to reach the MIDI learn and preferences sections. There you can set the defaults for the Clipper Algorithm and Threshold.

Thanks for the tip. Setting this up via the settings is actually much better, great. I didn't expect it to be there!

How are we supposed to use the plug in surround versions in pro tools. They just show up as stereo versions. I would exprect a format selection option like in Slapper or GRM Delays.

Did you try the V2.0 Release Candidate or the or V1.x versions? Latter are stereo only in AAX, but the new versions should appear with a plethora of configurations. I do think though a certain version of PT was required.subsonance wrote: Fri Oct 10, 2025 8:22 pm How are we supposed to use the plug in surround versions in pro tools. They will show the option that's suitable for the track you are inserting them on.subsonance wrote: Fri Oct 10, 2025 8:22 pm How are we supposed to use the plug in surround versions in pro tools. If you load them on a stereo track, they'll only show the stereo option, on a 5.0 track, they'll only show the 5.0 option, and so on.

Oh, I see. Other plug ins allow stereo or mono to higher order channel layout but that works too

sorry if that has been asked before, where is the channel selection on the GUI for the indivdual surround channels?

That has never been asked before... so I'm not 100% certain why and what for one would need it.
The Uhbiks process each channel with the same parameter set. Some parameters have dedicated offset parameters, which are evaluated according to the speaker position/role. Those speaker positions/roles are communicated by the host, like, in stereo it's left and right, in 5.1 it's left, right, rear left, rear right, center and LFE. Basically, the offset "grows" with distance to the center.

Right click this area if this is what you were asking for.subsonance wrote: Sun Oct 12, 2025 6:18 pm sorry if that has been asked before, where is the channel selection on the GUI for the indivdual surround channels?

How do I set the delay time for each channel (e.g., L, C, R)? I’m assuming I can use different settings for each, right?

no, all channels have the same parameters as Urs explained. The preset is applied at once on all channels and a few parameters have the offset behavior, which makes a certain effect then between the channels.subsonance wrote: Sun Oct 12, 2025 6:58 pm How do I set the delay time for each channel (e.g., L, C, R)? but it's common I think among multichannel fx plugins: https://www.audiobrewers.com/plugins/p/ab-delay
This ab-delay also applies the fx on all channels I think for example.

The delay is based on classic concept like tape delays or bucket brigades. The delay line itself is monophonic, i.e. all input channels are mixed together. Up to 5 taps from that delay line can be positioned at different delay times, and positioned on a channel to between two channels using the pan parameter.

Its been a couple months since v2 release.
We tend to wait to update until most bugs have been fixed, so I'm writing to ask if the Cubase bypass has been fixed? I don't see a v2.1 or anything of the sort so I'm assuming it has not been
We love Uhbik plugins as they are a vital part of our workflow in Cubase, however, if there are any known Cubase bugs I am hesitant to update.
Thanks so much!
