EDIT: found it inside of folder Animations>Tab-PBDirect & PBTags. But my question about how to copy the default theme remains.

Can anyone tell me where I can change the red in the above?
I suppose it is inside of Diva_orig.txt? But I haven't been able to identify the name that correlates.

I was able to change the other elements to a relatively relaxing blue:

Also, years ago somehow I was able to copy the default skin and make it a new theme I could modify. I don't remember quite how I did that and when I try to do a simple copy into the Theme folder, Diva crashes when trying to load that copied skin. So for now I have applied my modifications directly. Know of any reasonable way that can be done?
Thanks

Your best bet is to find a third-party skin for Diva and reverse engineer how it works. But, it's basically, make a new folder for the skin including a Scripts sub-folder, make sure you have a working Diva.txt file in the scripts Sub-folder. Copy any images over from the original skin you want to modify (you don't need to copy everything, just stuff you're changing). Then that's it for the basics. Just edit those images you copied over at that point.

It's best not to play around with the default skin, but rather use this approach for modifying it.

If you get crashes, you messed something up, likely with the scripts file. Open it up, and read the file. If it's super long and somewhat complex, that's the right file. If it's not, find the big file and paste the contents into the new skin's Diva.txt.

Proceed at your own caution.

Thanks, I'll try again!

The trick is that in the default skin

Diva.txt is NOT the skin code
Diva_orig.txt is

So when you create your new skin folder, do this:

1. Create a new empty .txt file in the Scripts sub-folder for your new skin called Diva.txt
2. Paste in the contents from the Diva_orig.txt from the default skin into your new Diva.txt file

After that, I think you'll be ok.

Thanks for your help, got it fixed thanks to you! It also seemed that not including the folder Locale (from the original) in the theme was important.
