It seems they added effects from sonic extensions, but gave it other names.

I am also wondering how the new version would interact with the Sonic Extensions, and how much of overlap would exist there on patches and devices. Also sent a mail to Spectrasonics with my question.

Same for Trilian and Keyscape content. Will it be integrated, new features? How about custom controls of the Sonic Extensions? The FAQ does not answer that.

I'd imagine none of those will be updated, and will just look and work the same as they have always done.

You can see in this grab from the promo video that Sonic Extensions, Keyscape and Trilian all have their own submenus. So do all the legacy libraries.

Just a few notes: I have owned S-sonics RMX (previously Stylus) and Trilian (prev. Trilogy) for years, was very near to purchase the Omnisphere years back, unfortunately missed that store offer then.
Now when I look at the Omnisphere 3 specs notice that it begins to be so loaded with feature that an average user will miss many if not most of the potential. Only the time limits the change to utilize the tool.

I wonder if S-sonics has lost the interest in the RMX, and even in the Trilian upgrade?

And - is the Keyscape developing? New instruments?

BTW - Nice to see Eric in the promos.

I think that it's because they have them installed. For example I am.also the owner of Keyscape. And I will see only Keyscape as I can understand....

Sounds like they don't wanna miss the additional sales from giving it to resellers, but on the other side, they wanna customers bring to buy it from them directly to generate more earnings.
I mean - who does wanna have a physical box standing in the shelve, need to be shipped and collecting dust then?

Depends: I would say it's more about browsing and layering the presets or make sounds from the sound sources and adapt what is there. You can import own samples, but not as multi-sample and you can not import own wavetables. It's more good for musicians, who wanna get a sound of a certain quality quickly and then beeing able to adapt it to their needs.

Of course you can make own sounds from scratch, but it's not as much fun as in Serum, Pigments, Phase Plant IMHO because the GUI is pretty cluttered and convoluted and nevertheless there are many limitations or features missing I would wanna count on (e.g. only one polyphonic LFO, no remapping of modulators, no side-chaining of modulations, etc.)

i rewatched the video and the global controls seem somehow meh? wouldnt it have been better to add some function like in Sonic Extensions where you could map your own controls and connect them with modules etc?
