In this video I thought I'd show how you can do audio rate filter modulation easily in MSF. It is easy once you know how and you can come up with interesting sounds. There are a few tricks to it though and I hope I demonstrated them well here. I hope you find it useful.

Hey Chandler, thanks for this, very cool to be able to do this so quickly and easily in MSF. Question about the "Follow Note Frequency" setting: if you set it for -1 octave and then move the Semitones setting to +7, doesn't that make it total -5 semitones, so you're actually just down a fourth from the original note? Just trying to get clear on this, to go down an octave and a fifth it would be -1 octave and then -7 semitones? Thanks.

That is correct. You can use the octaves and semitones together in multiple ways. For me it is easier to just go up in semitones and then adjust the octaves, but if you want to go down 5 semitones you can. Use whichever method is easier for you, because it will sound the same.tonycore wrote: Sun Oct 12, 2025 4:55 pm Hey Chandler, thanks for this, very cool to be able to do this so quickly and easily in MSF.
