Hi all,

After a long and winding road - longer than Zebra 3 development, really - we have finally arrived at the point where we're happy with Uhbik 2.0.

Now 10 plug-ins, we have extended Uhbiks with exhaustive modulation capabilities. These open up a lot more possibilities than before, while maintaining their ease of use. Nothing is hidden or obscured by complexity, yet the approach is certainly deep and, we think, inviting. It's a bit like, one can suddenly do things that one didn't know they needed before. Like, sequencing a bunch of parameters based on the transients in the audio track.

We've also replaced all internal EQ filters with analogue models (aka "ZDF" as it was called when we started the project some 14 years ago), for better modulation behaviour.

We furthermore added a lot of feature wishes: Frequency readouts, larger UI scaling, more algorithms, Diva-inspired filter options and so on. We couldn't do everything, but what we did do IMHO brings Uhbik back as first choice effects on modern systems and formats.

The upgrade is free for existing users of Uhbik V1.x - just download and install.

Well done, congrats to all the team
How original

Hello!
...already discovered the first bug:
- In the Cubae 14 insert slot, the Uhbiks cannot be deactivated.

Michael

Yep, sorry, that's a known issue which we have to resolve later down the road. I've linked the Release Notes above for a more comprehensive list of such things.

This is the best upgrade from U-He since many years !!!

Many thanks to all who worked on this !

Thank you so much ! Uhbik are my favorite effects. I was waiting for this with impatience.

Thank you very much, dear U-he-Team, for the great upgrade.

I think the sound of your plugins is just great.
Thank you, and keep up the good work!

Congratulations!

With this official release, u-he now have about the same amount of current effect plugins as you do synth plugins. It must feel good to have struck such a nice balance. 😊

Very nice! Thank you for making the upgrade for v1 owners free.

It seems like the number of values created by the quantize modifier depends, in part, upon the destination. The manual says "with steps of 12 transforming bipolar sources into maximum 5 values (unipolar = maximum 3) including zero." But setting a bipolar triangle LFO to Vol5 in Uhbik Delay with max depth creates more than 5 values. And setting the same quantized LFO to the Delay5 parameter only creates 2 values. Am I misunderstanding how the modifier works?

It depends on the range of the parameter you are modulating.
The Delay parameter ranges from 0 to 16.
If you choose a quantization of 12, then there are only two steps between which the modulation can alternate.
The Volume parameter has a bigger range, and thus more steps are generated with the same quantization setting.
