I can't get the step sequencer to trigger external gear. In fact getting midi out to external gear seems beyond me. What am I doing wrong?

'Event input' to 'composer' to 'event output' is the way I did it. I tried to upload screen pic but can't see how that's done at kvr. Connecting step sequencer track to rack is also necessary.

When you're writing a post, there are two tabs below the 'save draft', 'previe' and 'submit' buttons.plutonia wrote: Mon Oct 13, 2025 10:43 am I tried to upload screen pic but can't see how that's done at kvr.
The 'Options' tab is selected by default, click on 'Attachments' then 'Add files' to bring up a browser to select your image file.
You'll wind up with a list of one or more files below the 'Add files' button, depending on how many images you add.Uuse the 'Place inline' button for a given image to put that into your post where the cursor is.
An idiot on Set Theory:

shouldn't this connection be made automatically when we create/insert a step sequencer?plutonia wrote: Mon Oct 13, 2025 10:43 am 'Event input' to 'composer' to 'event output' is the way I did it. No automatic wiring is done -- what if you had other modules and you had them wired up already? It means someone has to take the time to work out whether to disconnect those other modules, wire in parallel, wire in series, whatever.
Better you do that the way you want than it's done wrong for you every time...
Of course, you can always save your set up as a template and it'll be there, wired up the way you want it, every time you want that way of being wired up.
