@aMUSEd, do you think it would make sense to move all this over into a GitHub repo, so people could fork or send pull requests etc? I think it would tbh.

Vinyl Didn't work for me, tested in B6 B4.
I just tried it on my system and it is still working but I am not on 6 yet but they are usually upwards compatible
Think it's possibly mislabelled on Dropbox, the files for Velvet and Vinyl are both the same:
vst3-565354484F4E5956656C766574000000
which can be decoded from hex to ASCII as VSTHONYVelvet
I'm seeing a panel ID for Vinyl of vst3-565354695A566E695A6F746F70652056 (VSTiZVniZotope V)

Ah this file naming is so confusing - at least CLAP fixes it

I wrote them to show some more demand and also suggested to them that they may consider to allow the bundle as a user add-on, like other generic user content. Then QC and opinionated mapping decision would be on the user, which would be totally fine. Let's hope for something

Thanks I don’t really get the QC argument as these are all user editable anyway- if someone doesn’t like how something is mapped it’s easy to change it but at least it gives them a starting point

Yes, who knows, maybe even reviewing all these would be quite a task already and to deliver them in the core makes them a Bitwig product basically. But if you could just bundle these as a user add-on then it's your thing and everybody can decide if installing or not. I also requested to somehow find a way to make a definition of the type of control, like continuous, stepped, bipolar, button or whatever, hoping that the Roto Control may be able to read that out and react accordingly one day.

I had a look yesterday at the possibility of building a Bitwig controller script to allow the user to automatically map plugin parameters to remote control pages, but unfortunately, the current API doesn't support this.
It would have been awesome to have a means to relatively quickly parameters to a series of remote control pages with a degree of uniformity and intelligence, but no dice, would be a useful feature request.

good idea, I guess one would need to somehow load a vst and get a list of exposed parameters and then select the ones and pass them to the remote control pages? Best to send in the FR thenSekops wrote: Tue Oct 14, 2025 8:01 am I had a look yesterday at the possibility of building a Bitwig controller script to allow the user to automatically map plugin parameters to remote control pages, but unfortunately, the current API doesn't support this.

I am having an Omnisphere issue - probably not an unknown one - in regards to the Devices page setting. I do manage to get both sides synced by activating the host automation setting for individual parameters within Omnisphere (certainly tedious, but obviously doable). Saved they are, but reopening Omnisphere in a next session and the sync does not work anymore. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your advice

Yeah Omnisphere is different because by default it has no pre-defined host automation targets, you have to set these up in Omnisphere first, then save them as a template. Unfortunately you have to load the template each time - it says in the manual you are supposed to be able to save the MIDI configuration with the multi, so I have tried saving as default multi but clearly that only applies to MIDI setup, not host automation. I have also tried saving this with a Bitwig preset and that loads the device mapping but still doesn't reload the Omnisphere template - I guess the only way you are meant to do that is by saving it with the project (although possibly a track template might also work).thomba wrote: Sat Oct 18, 2025 10:58 pm I am having an Omnisphere issue - probably not an unknown one - in regards to the Devices page setting. That's how Komplete Kontrol manages to save the host automation template - each NKS file is essentially a mini project file so the automation template is saved with each NKS file - I prefer to use Komplete Kontrol for complex synths like Omnisphere anyway as I can have different setups for different presets and there are a ton of pre saved NKS patches already out there - mainly by Freelance.
Check out the Bitwig template I made for Omnisphere in Bitwig ages ago - it contains the Bitwig preset, the Omnisphere remote controls and Omnisphere automation template - but you still need to load this each time unless you save it with the project or maybe track template (ps backup your Bitwig remote controls you made first - it's possible yours is already more detailed than mine - I don't want you to lose your progress)

Just toying around with Bitwig 6 Beta 3. All my control panel settings are do not show up. Although my devices folder is full of them. Might that be a bug? Do I have to do anything the "reinstall" them. thanks

Possibly a bug? That's worrying, I hope it is and doesn't mean they have changed the format and we have to do them all over again! Still on 5 here so can't testthomba wrote: Thu Oct 30, 2025 10:32 am Just toying around with Bitwig 6 Beta 3. All my control panel settings are do not show up. Try making a new one and see where it ends up?
