Newbie needs help with ... making Drumpad LEDs flash

Howdy fellow Waveformers and Tracktionists,
i got myself a new Midi-Controller that has 16 drumpads with LEDs.
I'm able to play the Micro Drum Sampler with them.
The Sampler flushes in different colors, depending on the pad i hit.
But i haven't figured out how to make the pad's LEDs on the controller flash too - neither when i hit them, record or play back the recording.
Can someone explain how to achieve this with Waveform?

Nope. Because we're not psychic.
You havent told us your OS, what version of Waveform you're using, what the drumpad is, or how you have it set it up in Waveform, or even whether the device can actually be configured to do that.

I might be new to Waveform, but afaik Midi has nothing to do with most of the info you deem missing.

What i try to achieve with Waveform is working in Bitwig right out of the box ...

Because you're still refusing to provide the information I mentioned that would allow someone to help you properly, then noone can help you properly.

Clue : If your drum-pads flash when they receive the right kind of message, whether that's MIDI or not, then something has to be sending the right messages. Knowing what could send those messages from within Waveform in response to the incoming messages from the device is rather heavily dependent on the information you've decided, for unfathomable reasons, to withold.

I was going to say essentially the same thing as whyterabbyt, who is very experienced and helpful if a little gruff. "How can I get X to work" depends on what X is. Whatever it is, it's definitely not made by Tracktion and this is the Tracktion forum. Someone out there might also have an X and can help you, but tips for Y or Z might not.

There's 2 ways this can be set up, on some equipment. On my Akai MPK261, the pads flash when you hit them, whether or not the computer is even connected (I do have a powered hub to power the Akai via USB).

However, they don't flash (at least not by default) during playback. Flashing during playback then requires there is some output set up TO the controller which the controller recognizes; as the controller isn't the destination for any MIDI events.
